And, it would be good practice to learn using the unit in a comfortable setting before heading into the deep dark woods on a cache quest. Try something like, "mark" the mailbox in your front yard (or some similar outdoor object), move away from the object then "goto" the object using the GPS. Watch how it behaves as your near your target, Have fun! Quote Link to comment

It is a very good GPS, though I recently bought a Magellan explorist 500, I use both of them, my Meridian for runing map send direct route to get to the cache area. Quote Link to comment

The expandable SD slot for the Magellan's are awesome because you can have up to, I believe SD makes up to a 1GB, so you'll like it. Good job on the purchase. Quote Link to comment
