+bear&fox
Good day, Can anyone point me in the right direcdtion to find freeware software that allows one to convert Lat/Long to UTM (and vice versa)? Cheers, Bernard Quote Link to comment
+jacques0
bear: 2 easy options... (1) Your own GPS unit. Simply change the coordinate preferences to UTM, choose the map datum you wish to use and the gps will then display your waypoints in UTM. (2) Geocalc, a small stand-alone program will do on-the-fly conversions for you. Get it here Quote Link to comment
+Timpat
Firstly, you can perform this function right in your GPSr by going to (in my Garmin Map60C and Legend anyway) Setup/Units/Positon Format. Choose UTM, and under Map Datum, be sure to select the datum, such as NAD27 or NAD83. If you want a stand alone freebie program try Corpscon v.5 or v.6 edit:sp Edited July 21, 2005 by Timpat Quote Link to comment
