marty621
I am looking to compile a list of caches I can do to take advantage of some great vistas and take pictures of such. Anyone have suggestions for the North Jersey,/ Eastern Pennsyvania area. Edited July 19, 2005 by marty621 Quote Link to comment

shanni-bugbait-wren
This one's in Harriman State Park Iko-IKo Got some great pics from this cache. Quote Link to comment
+trowel32
Another one in Harriman with great views in all directions: Fire on the Mountain Quote Link to comment
+Team Red Oak
We're doing Pulpit Rock and The Pinnacle this Saturday (not sure how to link to the cache page). Both are off the AT in Berks County PA; the nearest big city would probably be Kutztown, PA or Reading, PA. Both have breathtaking views. Quote Link to comment
+The Frantic Cachers
Wyonokie High Point Best view in Jersey. Quote Link to comment
+Peconic Bay Sailors
Try Natureboy44's Rest Stop I-78 West on a clear day... it can be spectacular... esp at sunset during the winter... or with a storm approaching from the West... You can see all the way to Pennsylvania... Not so great on a hazy day like we've had recently though... Edited July 20, 2005 by Peconic Bay Sailors Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Wyonokie High PointBest view in Jersey. It just might be, though Windbeam's Windfall, Pinwheel Vista and Wanaque Overlook give it a run for the money. Wyanokie High Point Quote Link to comment

But... you can drive to it... (at my age that is a big plus!!!) Edited July 20, 2005 by Peconic Bay Sailors Quote Link to comment

+A.T.Hiker
"One Down Forty Nine to Go" is a virtual cache at High Point Monument. Then, you can also hit Stayfloppy's "Limpidity 2" while near the summit of High Point. I've done them both. The terrain is relatively easy for both caches. Wait for a clear day and head up. Highly recommended. Quote Link to comment
+eaglespirit0
Cary Mountain Cary Mountain in Archbald, Pennsylvania. By far the best cache hunt I've ever done. Beautiful views, can't even justify by the pictures. Quote Link to comment
SCP-173
1st National Cache of Wyoming County Not quite the same hike as Cary Mountain, but I dare say this one has a better view. I would suggest doing Cary Mountain, though. Add in Meyers Mountain and the other cache on Cary Mountain and you'll have a full day of caching that'll be hard to top. +nikcap
In NW Jersey, check out Rob's Invite Be sure to continue up to the look out just south of the cache. The hawks and vultures fly right at that level and it's amazing to see, and the view down the Delaware ain't too shabby either. While you're there, check out Through the woods, Then over the river, neat cache and a very unique view of the Delaware Water Gap. Edited July 21, 2005 by ekitt10 Quote Link to comment
