+Old Cavendish Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Hi. So I've found 2 caches so far and one had a Jeep in it. I'm loving this sport! I'm looking for WV caches only please. If you would be so kind as to List your top 5 favorite cases in the catagories below. If you have less than 5 or more than 5 that is quite alright. Most difficut to get to w/o special equipment (i.e. climbing gear, scuba gear, ect.). Longest hike/bike in to find a cache. Best puzzle cache. Best multi-cache. Thanks in advance for your input. +Old Cavendish Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 I will expand this to MD and PA as well. I don't mind a drive. Quote
+DeskJocky Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Check out caches in western Maryland by tmp and caches in Pennsylvania by Quest Master. Also, caches in and around West Virginia by Accident_Prone_Hiker. Quote
+Polgara Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Pulling from the watchlist from the WV, VA area... Follow the rubicon trail series Rocky River, but thats in NC. User Chilewizzard puts out some interesting stuff. I also have a bunch of stuff from CrotalusRex & Wordfried, maybe you can check out their hides too. Quote
+vulture19 Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Here's a virtual that is a nice hike into the New River Gorge that I did last year. From there, there are a lot of nice places around the area. Picture Perfect Bridge Quote
+Old Cavendish Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 Cool! My b-day was yesterday and my parents got me a Garmin eTrex Summit GPSr. I've got my eye on a few of those multi-caches in Greene County, PA. Quote

mpm Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 My favorites of the ones I've found: Tamacache (Yeah, it's mine, but it seems to be very popular) Shoppers Delight No. 2 (GREAT view!) Bergoo Treasure (Most remote one I've been too but great trout fishing) Quote
+cudlecub Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I found a few caches at Pipestem Park in WV while at an event. They're tough hikes but the area was beautiful. Do a search in the vicinity of GCNN9V Quote
+roygpa Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I would say try these for nice walks and a great view: Nevermore and Top of the Rocks We did them on a cool, sunny spring day this past April. It was the best day from work that I've had in awhile. The best part is that cellphone service is spotty at best, and few people could find me. Roy Quote
