Does it maximize batteries for longer usage ? 2. Does it allow you to charge "Rechargables" in the unit while using an external power source ? Thanks..... Quote Link to comment
+IVxIV Posted July 2, 2005 Share Posted July 2, 2005 It mostly adjusts the battery power level display so it reads correctly. Batteries such as rechargable NiMh's produce slightly less voltage than fully charged alkaline AA's do, and would show as only 7/8's charged even when fully charged. I don't think the setting change affects any other aspect of the GPSr. Quote Link to comment
