Letterboxing Question Re Crosslisting

Just checking before I start setting letterbox hybrids...

Where are the actual details/guidelines on listing LB 'hybrids' in GC? And basically, what is the GC policy on also listing the same container and stamp on LBNA or AtlasQuest? (Both LB-sites and they both will cheerfully crosslist LBs that are on the other site too.) As far as I know, no one has listed one on AQ and posted the GC LB-hybrid URL...

TIA!

The policy regarding Letterbox Hybrid geocaches can be found in the specific section on this cache type within the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines (of course, all other guidelines for physical caches in general are also applicable):

Letterbox Hybrid

Letterboxing is another form of treasure hunting that uses clues to direct hunters to a hidden container. Each letterbox contains a stamp which is the signature for that box. Most letterboxers have their own personal stamps and personal logbooks. They stamp the letterbox logbook with their personal stamp, and use the stamp contained in the letterbox to “sign” their personal logbook.

Letterbox hybrids are a mixture of letterbox and geocache. They should contain a signature stamp that stays with the box, and they must conform to the guidelines for traditional caches and therefore must contain a logbook. They must be referenced by latitude and longitude, not just clues. Whether or not the letterbox hybrid contains trade items is up to the owner. In most cases personal stamp and personal logbook are not necessary to be a seeker of a letterbox hybrid.

Hiders of Letterbox Hybrid caches frequently overlook two of the points mentioned in this excerpt from the listing guidelines. The first is, the cache should have a letterboxing-style stamp. Secondly, the cache must be findable by reference to GPS coordinates, not just letterbox-style clues. It is fine to incorporate letterbox clues as an *aspect* of the hunt, or to provide both the coordinates and the clues as alternatives.

There is no restriction on where else you can list your letterbox hybrid cache. The cache owner owns their cache and can list it wherever they choose. There are many letterbox hybrid caches that are cross-posted to a letterboxing website.

I hope that this is helpful.
