wolfmaster Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 My wife is being interviewed by CBC radio at 12:40 on June 30th concerning her Geocaching experiences. The radio station is CBC out of Regina Sask. The AM sataion is 540 KHz. AM and the FM station is 102.5 MHz. Listen in if you are in the area. Quote
dogbreathcanada Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 You can listen to CBC on the internet here: http://www.cbc.ca/listen/index.html You can choose the exact region you want to listen too ... Regina is one of the many choices. Remember to adjust for regional time differences. Quote
Tidalflame Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 (edited) Could somebody record it? I'd like to hear it but I know I'm gonna forget. Edited June 29, 2005 by Tidalflame Quote
The Blue Quasar Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I'm going to assume that the broadcast will be on at 12:40 Central Standard Time. I would record it, if I knew how. Oh well, I'm sure someone will. Hopefully it can be made available to the Geocaching community. Quote
parker2 Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Well the interview was ok. Just went into the basics. Wish there would of been a bit of input for the Federal policy. CBC posted the link to Geocaching on there site CBC Hopefully this will start a bit of a media buzz in Sask. as well as the other provinces. Quote
wolfmaster Posted July 1, 2005 Author Posted July 1, 2005 If anyone did record it, I would like to have a copy. Whatever it takes. Thanks Quote
PostieBill Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Well the interview was ok. Just went into the basics. Yup! That describes every Geocaching interview & TV programme I've seen. Quote
parker2 Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Hey wolfmaster..... Go to the CBC link I posted previously in this thread. I beleave you can buy the transcripts from the show. I would of recorded it, but I was at work when your wife was on. parker2 Quote
parker2 Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 I would be a good thing for GC to put together a "media kit" so to speak that fellow cachers can give to the media before an interview. At least this way we can get a bit more out of the interviews and be a bit more informative to the viewers / listeners. Could also have the possibility to encourage more media coverage through mail outs of faxes as well. parker2 Quote
wolfmaster Posted July 7, 2005 Author Posted July 7, 2005 Thanks Parker2 for the info on the transcript. I sort of agree with the media kit. The radio called my wife the day before the interview, I would guess to see how she would do on the radio. They talked for about 1/2 hour on the phone and covered a lot of different aspects of geocaching. They could have used that as it was much more informative. They didn't touch on 1/4of the things they talked about during the preinterview. Too bad. Quote
parker2 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 I know wolf..... It wouldn't have to be too much. A couple of pages with info from the background, placing, hunting, aprox. # of caches & cachers (local, national, & world wide). Basically a shortened form of the hide and find guides with a bit more info to spice it up. The rest would have to up to the local cacher to add. parker2 Quote
