+Mushroom Doom
Here's how to turn this: N48* 26.092' into THIS: N48º 26.092' (if you are using a Win PC) Type "N48" then hold the "Alt" key & type 0186 (that's Zero-One-Eight-Six) Let go of the "Alt' key & the degree symbol appears! It works with almost all standard Windows fonts & many other symbols too! Here's a link that explains it... <http://www.compukiss.com/sandyclassroom/tutorials/article751.htm> Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
Personally I prefer Alt+0176, which gives this symbol: W080° To me at least, that looks more like a degree symbol, and less like a superscript "o." Quote Link to comment

+The Leprechauns
I know that. I was trying to be polite. I never show off my masculine ordinal indicator in a public forum. Quote Link to comment

+blindleader
How about on a iPAQ? If you’re writing notes in GpxSonar, select the alternate keyboard (button marked [áü] next to the [Ctl] key). The degree symbol is where the 0 was on the standard keyboard. Quote Link to comment
