+BigCarbonFootprint
Has anyone seen or created a means to determine the most visited caches in a select area. I am trying to determine which caches have the most traffic in my area. This would be a good tool to determine cache locations to drop TBs. I will try to develop something, but certainly someone else has had the same question. Thanks Quote Link to comment
+5¢
That seems like a good idea, but could be flawed in somewhat. I live in a semi busy caching area. After all the local active geocachers find a cache, (which seems to be about 20 finds in the first month or so), the cache then only gets a hit or two a month. So, when I start a new tb it is best to find a new cache, and then it is more likely to get a movin. Quote Link to comment
WH
Wanna trigger a some cache visits, put a WJTB in there and people will come a runnin . Quote Link to comment
+BigCarbonFootprint
Thanks Nickel, I didn’t think of that little hitch. I guess I could query the data by descending date also. WJTB, that’s funny. I’m in China now, but will be returning to Texas next week. My first searches will be for the WJTBs. I’ve been able to query and get a list of all the WJTBs in my state of Texas on a desired date. I found that five were located within close proximity of my home coordinates. Can’t wait to get home. tdl&claire Quote Link to comment
+ParrotRobAndCeCe
Maybe for what you're looking for you don't want to count total visits, but look at the most active caches in, say, the last 30 days or 90 days. If you want to get a TB rolling, it would be much better to put it in a cache with only 30 visits, all in the last month, than one with 500 visits but nothing since, oh, March. Quote Link to comment
