Best Caches Around Gatineau Park

we are going to Gatineau Park in the middle of July for a few days

and are wondering what are the must do caches in this area

lots of choices here so would like to do some of the best

If Gatineau Park is the one I'm thinking of....

 

Claustrophobia is a MUST.

 

And a nice warm up cache, if you park near the Parks Canada building

 

Cache Des Portages is one I enjoyed.

 

And placed by a fellow OGA rep too LOL

 

I cannot comment on the others near by, as I didn't have much time that day and since it's a seven hour drive, I haven't found my way back yet.

It all depends on whether or not you want a quick drop or a nice hike.

 

For a hike/climb, both of these mlord stashes can be hit in one day and will take you to a spectacular view.:

Are actually just South of Gatineau Park (still nice ones to do before or after you go to the Park).

 

 

I really enjoyed Orienteer, if you are looking for a different cache. Can take a couple hours though, so it depends what kind of caches you like. But I`m sure the owner of the TB left there in September would appreciate if someone could pick it up

The Missing Mongolian is also a great cache -- a good intro to the back side of the Park (well, okay, the middle of the park), and features a nice spot for a possibly secluded dip when visited mid-week.

Be sure to check out the fire tower near Colourful Balls! You're not supposed to climb it though, we only saw the sign after we came down.. really.. truely.. (well, ok.. maybe not..)
