+Turkey Trotter
The International Telecommunication Union, which oversees the radio spectrum, has told Europe it must start using the space allocated for Galileo by mid-2006 or risk losing it. See here for more information. Edited June 21, 2005 by Turkey Trotter Quote Link to comment
+soulwarrior
Does Galileo need new GPS handhelds or is it compatible with the American GPS system? Quote Link to comment
Omega2
Normal rules of life and market forces would suggest that we all have to throw away our WAAS GPS receivers and buy new ones. This is based on the fact that consumers can't expect to win or break even. However, this is an exception. If you have a WAAS GPSr then it will automatically work with Galileo, the European version of GPS. Quote Link to comment
+derrylynne
Thanks for that. Looks like an exciting time for us all and should give much better reception under tree cover.. Quote Link to comment
