+Old Bet
We are planning a few days' vacation in D.C. later this summer. There are a lot of virtuals on the Mall, but we'd like to do some "real" caching, too. The main purpose of this trip is basic tourism; geocaching is incidental to that. For that reason, we don't want to start from scratch looking for caches on geocaching.com, especially since we don't know all of the D.C. areas and neighborhoods really well. So....can anyone recommend a handful of good traditionals in Washington? Good means within walking distance (cupla miles) of our hotel on Capital Hill or nearish to a metro station, and not too devilishly difficult, given that caching isn't the priority, but not necessarily a gimme. Being in an interesting location would be nice. The Brigade thanks you in advance. Quote Link to comment
+JoeCthulhu
I'd start at 'Garfield Park' GCG6JX. It's near Capital Hill and Metro. You can do a search from there to the next closest physical cache. There are a few south of the National Mall. Quote Link to comment
