+Miragee Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 I sure wish I had a faster Internet connection than 24K. There is no way, without going down the hill to the library, I can ever look at all these pictures to vote . . . Quote
+Ambrosia Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Many, many, many beautiful pictures!!! Because it just evokes a sense of adventure and the wild outdoors, I vote for Tahosa and Sons. I have enjoyed this thread, thanks! Quote
+AtlantaGal Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I narrowed it down to 5 pix and randomly picked one from there. Way too many great pix to choose from! Quote
+Ambrosia Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Is this supposed to be by secret ballot? Or are we supposed to say it here? I notice that people are voting both ways. Quote
+El Diablo Posted July 11, 2005 Author Posted July 11, 2005 Only votes emailed to me at JC364@aol.com count. El Diablo Quote
+sept1c_tank Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Vote for El diablo! ...Pictures containing a great scene, wildlife, cute kids, and pretty women will probably be a plus. So, this pic would fall into the wildlife category...? Quote
+PassingWind Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Gotta love this one!! Geocaching and baseball!! Took this one while grabbing the Let's Go Padres ! cache. I HAVE to vote for this one! Quote

So, this pic would fall into the wildlife category...? I believe that Snoogans little dog was running around there someplace. You can also see kids and pretty women in the background. El Diablo Quote

+joefrog Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 For the overall shot, this one gets my vote. For scenery, this one was my fave: A close second for "overall" was this one: MAN, it was tough to choose! Quote
+El Diablo Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 For a thread that has over 6,000 views I'm not getting many votes. You people need to rally your fellow cachers to help you out. Right now the pic in first place has 3 votes. El Diablo Quote
Liber-T Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 omg El Eiablo...you are going to have your work cut out for you. I wish I could have some of these framed to hang on my walls Quote
+Bahamadiver Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 This was an incredible hike for me as I was nearly killed three years ago by a drunk driver while me and my wife were out motorcycle riding. It took me 2 hours to get to as it was down in a ravine (only about 1/4 mile down from the road, but horribly difficult for me in my state) but it was so worth it. The site is called The Grizzly Giant near Quincy, CA. The tree is one of the largest Blue Spruce trees ever found apparently. This is the picture for the contest... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/yel...ucksLake040.jpg These are pictures of the cache! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/yel...ucksLake036.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/yel...ucksLake053.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/yel...ucksLake043.jpg I hope this qualifies me as I could really use that Stick! It is great looking! Quote

+sept1c_tank Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 (edited) I wonder if everyone understands that the contest is closed and we are voting now? Edited July 13, 2005 by sept1c_tank Quote
+AtlantaGal Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I wonder if everyone understands that the contest is closed and we are voting now? LOL, I was wondering the same thing. But from the looks of it, they don't. Maybe this thread should be closed and another one requesting people to vote (linking to this thread) should be opened by Jerry. Quote

+KC0GRN Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I knew it was closed. I had a couple of pictures I thought might make good entries, but I decided against it, as there's tons of better photos out there than I've captured. I'll post a couple this evening though, just to show them, maybe someone will find them interesting. Quote

+Renegade Knight Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Having a thread about winning a staff, and a thread about favorite cache photo's is two differnet things. I sure as heck didn't read the entire thread to figure out that the contest is closed so my vote was wasted. Close the thread and open another one if you want to keep a current thread of favorite cache photo's. That's my vote. Quote

Dr123d Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Nothing better then kilt caching in a canoe. Even better when you have one of El_D's walking sticks to bring with you. We just got done doing the Colorado Island. Well I have had the honor of logging one of your Sticks and using it for a while caching. I must say if you haven't seen one you are missing out. Edited to add link! Vote for me! Vote for me! Would it help if I edited the guy on the left out? Quote
