what is the name of the site that lets me get maps as well as a satelite picture of the area. i thought it was mapquest, but i was wrong?

 

also you were able to enter coordinates.

Hey, webscouter, I just tried to download quakemap.exe, and I got a little message that said, "corrupt download." Then I did a search for quakemap.exe on the computer, and nothing came up... Maybe I should run the spyware...and wait a few days and try quakemap again. It looks like a pretty cool program. Did this happen to you when you first tried to download it?

Also check out the Geocaching Admin site, which has some publicly available tools including a terraserver image viewer and topo map viewer that can easily handle multiple waypoints. There's also links to lots of other maps. Just enter your coordinates and click.

I am using USAPhotoMaps (a download) that not only lets you see large areas by combining smaller topos and photos, it lets you enter waypoints, routes and transfers them back and forth from your GPSr!

 

I like it, I like it a lot!

And you can get aerial photos, which are much higher resolution than the satellite photos, at least for many urban areas. USAPhotomaps is very cool software. Like tossedsalad, I like it a lot. And it's donation-ware, not expensive commercial software.
