M4/a40 Caches

Are there any really simple drivebys en route? e.g. no more than 1/2 mile from a motorway junction?

A quick look on Memory Map shows up the following:-

 

GCJ7NR - In Havorfordwest

GCM4YZ - Lyln Llech Owain Country Park (about a mile off the A48)

GCP163 - Quite near M4 J35

GCNQVX - near M4 J25/25a

GCNQ48 - near M4 J22

I did This One last week. It is just off J17 of the M4 (Chippenham junction) and literally a minute from the motorway.

I have a site in mind just off the M5 / M4 interchange for a cache-n-dash affair. It boasts fantastic views of the Severn Estuary too so should hopefully appeal to a wide range of cachers - both the motorway hoppers and the scenic view seekers! I've just come out of Hospital so am restricted at the moment as to what I can do, but when I am back out and about I am going to go and check out the site a bit better to find the safest muggleless (new word?) spot and do the business.

Try this one "14 Locks". It's just off junction twenty-thing (I cannot remember!!) of the M4. I did it as a cache and dash on my way back from Porthcawl. It's a lovely spot, a very nice walk, not too difficult to find and the parking is next to a small shop where you can purchase refreshments.
