+The Pastor & Pastor's Wife
GSAK is the best investment for a cacher. It allows you to import gpx files and modify searches, plan a "caching route", create and saved different databases and so much more. It's an excellent tool for paperless caching too! +embra
You need some sort of intermediary software to get data from Groundspeak into your GPS and [optionally] PDA. GSAK does these tasks very well. If you just want to download a waypoint here and there, many other tools will do the job as well. But as one gets further into this hobby (and starts to find oneself printing out and carrying around reams of paper) GSAK makes the management of large numbers of waypoints much easier than would otherwise be the case. +Team XTerror
It's especially cool if you are a premium member and use pocket queries. I use GSAK to output HTML listings and then use Plucker to put it on my Palm. It's nice to go paperless. Quote Link to comment
+Turtle3863
It is a real big help if you cache with a laptop in your car. Quote Link to comment

+Uncle T K
With GSAK you down load a Pocket Querie of 500 caches near your home (Or any where) Then using GSAK you filter only those caches under 2.0/2.0 (Example) and less than 3 miles from your center point. It gives you 20 caches that you sent to you GPS. Then export them to Streets & Trips and print out a map of the 20 caches. Then export them to your PALM using CacheMate ($8) to go paperless. +DeViDe
Using GSAK and pocket queries, I have a up to date databse of every cache in my state. Currently at 3442. I can sort them, map them, load them to my GPS. It is such a great program. Try it, you will like it. Quote Link to comment
