  1. Somewhere out there in the vast project-gc universe are two amazing checkers that I once used and have since lost. One was a challenge checker that will show you the DT grid of your finds in the single county you are closest to completing. The other was a checker to see if you have a 1 year streak using only physical geocaches (not events, virtuals, labs, or earth caches). I used both some time last year but cannot find them anywhere now. To make it harder, I was at a hotel computer so I don't have the history :(. They're not listed in https://project-gc.com/w/Tools_in_the_checker_system and I can't seem to find them anywhere by any searching method I know other than this. Does anyone know where to find them? Cheers, CheekyBrit
  2. OK I'm building new challenges such as a requirement to find a letterbox on 90 different days of the year, doesn't matter what year your finds are, just the day and month. -->How do you go about seeing your progress on the 365 calendar chart of finds by found date for a specific type or size? <-- Once the challenge checker is built, it's a piece of cake, just use the checker. Before that I can't seem to figure it out on my geocaching profile page or on GSAK (geocaching swiss army knife) using a macro (I don't know how to build them and can't yet find a suitable macro). I can't seem to find a way to do this on project-gc.com either. I could design the challenge checker, see where I'm at and then have the checker building volunteers adjust the required parameters after I see my progress but that is adding to their already steep workload. Sure I could grab a paper calendar and manually mark the dates as I go down the list but that is super slow and I'm doing this for a bunch of different settings. I'm planning in the future to do other types of geocache, various sizes, and also branching into the 'finds by hidden date' chart.
  3. Someone pointed me to this thread on the project-gc challenge checker forum http://project-gc.com/forum/read?8,3468 and I need to admit that like target I cannot understand why challenge caches that ask for filling the 365 day grid (without February 29) are allowed only for the cache types traditional and mystery but not for multi caches as has been pointed out by OReviewer. None of the rules in the guidelines refers to that case and since it seems to be a general decision it cannot refer to areas where there are not enough multi caches and not enough cachers which will be able to satisfy the requirements. It's quite unfortunate that apparently there are so many hidden rules and whenever someone comes up with something not yet covered in the rule set, new hidden rules are added. I'm closer to having filled the 365 day grid with multi caches than with mystery caches (I have never worked on any of the two goals). So why has HQ decided that multi cache grid filling caches are not allowed and why is this is not mentioned in the guidelines? I'd appreciate a reply from someone who knows about the background and can provide a clarification about something which makes several people wonder.
  4. Is there a souvenir for 365 / 366 days of caching ?
  5. Next Monday all being well (if the Americans don't send any more hurricanes our way ) I'll fill in calendar day 365/366, just under 22 months since starting out. I imagine I'll be far from the only cacher then waiting patiently for 29th February 2016 to come around?
  6. Hi Groundspeak, I'd like to request an enhancement for the statistics page: make the cella in the Matrix 81 and the "Finds for Each Day of the Year" interactive. Ehen clicking a cell the correponding Caches found at this day or OF this D/T combination should be displayed. To come to this nice result today is rather complicated. Thanks in advance for realizing!
  7. Does anyone know of a cache the requires you to have log 365 days in a row of geocaching in order to find that cache.
  8. Today marks MarauderMom's 365th straight day of caching. Way to go, Susie!!!
