  1. I went through Singapore airport last year. I seem to remember that the virtual at the Rain Vortex was available to all, but the trad in the butterfly house was definitely on the other side of Security and (I guess) you would have to have a boarding pass to get there.
  2. GCAFEPP Our house in the middle of our street. The cache says in hint "No coords in the puzzle". If only there was a nice place to sit and think, etc In additionals waypoints it gives 3 sets of coords. In the story it says he forgot where he put it etc. You have to drive to all 3 parks and just wander around? According to the story there was a cat and the cat liked butterflies so I suppose that's clues. We went to 2 of them and nothing, just wandered around looking stupid. The 3rd set of coords does NOT take you to a park. So you have to check the map and see where the local parks are. Then again you are to go there, park and just wander around till you find a cat or a butterfly? I am just asking if you think this a legitimate puzzle to ask people to drive so many places and vague clues? It's more like a multi but not that either. I'm just wanting peoples opinion on this. We wasted out time and gas driving to false coords that were suppose to be at a park.

  10. During this hot weather it is a good time to see butterflies. Especially while out on the trails. St Breward in Cornwall has a lovely walk by Lizmar and at a couple of the caches you have to go through two small meadows. The Small Copper is really prolific there. Anyway the 15 minute count is being done to asses climate red flags and also how its impacting wildlife. Using the butterfly as a sort of canary as they will decline in numbers as an early warning sign. Anywhere can be watched for 15 minutes and the results submitted via the 15 minute butterfly count website. You do need to register during the submission but this can be done on the trail via an app or later. Its taking place between now and the end of August. As we are all environment aware in geocaching I though as we reach the more remote areas of the countryside and local environs it would be useful for geocachers to take part. You can submit the type and nmber of each butterfly you see in 15 minutes. You can also submit as many 15 minute results as you wish. You can then use a map to show where you found them. Have fun and find website here if you wish to take part 15 minute butterfly count

  12. I was given a Butterfly 2012 Geocoin http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=4423615 It is a beautiful coin, but I was wondering if it is a product of someone's imagination or if it was based on a real butterfly and if so, what it is. Any enlightenment?
  13. After 105 Hedgehog versions, it is time for a new design. The result is this cute Butterfly. On request, there is now a difference with the Hedgehogs: - XLE editions (20 pcs) - LE editions (30-50 pcs) The LE has less colors and the outer border area is uncolored. The 1st batch is already in production with in total 23 editions. Some are private and some a shop editions which are going to be sold here. There are expected to be finished by early march. Please contact me if you are interested in your own edition. There is a Google docs environment with detailed information, pictures, artwork, etc.

Not only does it bring warmer weather, but it also brings longer daylight hours and most importantly of all - new caches! Spring is a great time of year to update or maintain your previously published caches. It is also a great time to give back to the geocaching community and publish new caches featuring a unique hide or ones that take fellow geocachers to exciting locations during their hunt for the find. 23. This has nothing to do with the Easter mission but butterflies are related to Spring so I better post this picture in this topic instead of the Happy Holidays mission where it belongs Since there are not that many people watching the Christmas topic anymore with only one mission left to be received, I wanted to share with you a gift I just had the pleasure to find in my mailbox. I received this beautiful butterfly. It's very colorful and quite heavy too. Thanks kini_ont for sending me this very cool geocoin
  24. Hello, everyone -- Thought I'd provide an updated sneak peak of the Butterfly 2010 geocoin from Cache Addict. This is a followup to the Morpho Butterfly and is Mike's design (though I helped with the obverse as well as with color choices). The coins feature a central hinge and actually close up like a real butterfly does, and will come in a variety of platings and color combinations. These things are amazingly gorgeous in person -- they are little jewels. Mike tells me that the three versions you see here should be going up for reservations at Cache Addict in about a week. He'll also be bringing a bunch of these to Geowoodstock, including some editions you don't see here. So if you have a chance to go to the event, please make sure you check out his booth!
