LL Bean is showing a ship date of January 3rd. Three to four weeks will be reasonable to assume at this point. It sounds like you got some decent info there! I'm currently waiting for a 2000 myself. I'm so obsessed at this point that I started a forum for them, check it out here Triton Forum

I use mine every time I fly. Never had an issue.

If you're speaking of the turn by turn directions, i absolutely love it! It is a little quirky, but it's also not a $1000 in-car GPS! Overall it has performed very well, 90% of the adresses i have tried have worked, the other 10% i used mapquest to get a street next to my end destination, plgged that in and it got me right there! I have it on the Meridian color, no input on how well it works on the sportrack.
