First goto www.geocaching.com/map Then 'insert' this css which is the web page default: #ctl00_divContentMain { margin-top: 1.5em; margin-left: 0.5em; margin-right: -0.5em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; } #Content { margin-top: 1.5em; margin-left: 0.5em; margin-right: -0.5em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; } #map { position: absolute; margin-top: 0; margin-left: -0.5em; margin-right: 0.5em; width: 099%; height: 099%; border: 1px solid #c0c0c0; } Now align the Content to the right by changing the margin-left and margin-right values in the #Content part. The margin-right values is always the negative value of margin-left. For my screen I ended up with: #Content { margin-top: 1.5em; margin-left: 50.5em; margin-right: -50.5em; margin-bottom: 1.5em; } Then start aligning the map part to the left side of your screen: #map { position: absolute; margin-top: 0; margin-left: -0.5em; margin-right: 0.5em; width: 099%; height: 099%; border: 1px solid #c0c0c0; } First change the margin-left value so the map moves to the left. For my screen I needed : margin-left: -100.5em; Next change the width value and margin-right value. In my case I needed a width value of 281% and a margin-right value of 180.5em. You will have to try out which values work best for your screen. If you do not see the whole map, please resize your web browser window just a little bit. Remember, if you reload the web page, your will have to add this User Style Sheet again since geocaching dot com does not remember your changes.

I also have some problems with the beta map part of the site. The old map is far better then the beta map for now. However, what saddens me is the small size of the old map. The old site was better with this respect. So I made some changes in one of the css-data the old map part of the site uses. It is not perfect but as I said, it works for me on my 27'' Mac screen. You surely will have to change the margin_left and margin_right as well as the #map width values for you screen to fit on your screen. And its fast, probably because fewer users are using the old map site

I found my 122th EarthCache a couple of days ago.

I agree with respect to the 'much smaller type/print. Cache descriptions look crippled now, as well as GSAK statistics, maps etc. Please make the pages 'wider (850 px instead of the about 630 px it is now)' again, we are not using 13'' screens anymore.

I am a paperless geocacher as well but not for EarthCaches and Multies. For those two types I always carry a printout with me.

Same thing happened to me today. I got this email from a cacher whose log I deleted because I deleted his log. > Not on an earthcache. A photo cannot be a requirement to log. I suggest you > reinstate the log or a complaint will be filed against you. I ask for a photograph as proof people visited the site - beside doing measurements amongst other tasks. And all the EC's I visited to date (about 95) have the same requirement. Did I miss something overhere? GeoBSWEScout

I've got two devices - GGPSMap 60CSx and a new Oregon 450. When I transfer POI's to the 60CSx a new tile called custom POI's appears. This does not happen on the Oregon. I also cannot see any custom POI's on my map. In my advanced map setup the default setting for showing POI's etc is 'Auto' Any ideas where my POI's are gone and how to make them visible?

Hi, I am trying to manage an Oregon 450. There are a couple of things I was unable to do cq see when it comes to uploading GPX files. - Some cache descriptions contain plain HTML code, is there a way to strip these tags from the cache description? - The GPX file contains the logs as well, can they be stripped as well? - Is it possible to show the hint (if present) as well and if yes, how? - How can I change the coordinates of a cache? I did a search in the forum but was not able to find any answers yet. Googling was not successful either. I am not the best searcher I guess. Looking forward for your creative ideas. Thanks John Btw. I am a Mac user so any PC software will not be of much use.

Does this mean local reviewers are responsible for the listings? Jan

I was able to adopt a revived archived EarhCache Cap Blanc-Nez. The former developer got po because of cachers logging the EarthCache without fulfilling the logging requirements and archived it. He was very cooperative though throughout the adoption process as was GeoAware. Btw, I fully support the wish for a revival of the ability for premium members to see archived caches in the maps.

Hi all, since a couple of months I am partially disabled and therefore not capable anymore of maintaining my 'non'virtuals'. I found a geocacher willing to adopt seven of my caches. The rest I archived with pain in my heart. About a week ago a geocacher offered to adopt a further four of my archive caches so I send a 'release' request to the [Dutch] reviewer to unarchive these four caches. A second cacher is willing to adopt another three caches. I sent off a couple of mails but I get no response, no feedback and no mails. The adopt-candidate is anxious to continue the caches but he can't since the reviewer does do anything from our perspective. Our (mine and the adopters) question: how to motivate reviewers to move, to do something. even if the answer is no? They are all volunteers (I do a lot of volunteer work as well so I know the pressure it can built up some time) but we all feel this is not the appropriate way to promote this wonderful hobby. For me the hardest part is writing the simplified information for the normal geocacher. Another part is the 'nerve wrecking' waiting time for the adoption which may take up to 4 days. But I think this is Ok. The reviewers nee some time off once in a while... Generally, the submission process is just fine. GSA is critical but I don't have problems with that. Dear all, is there an overview of all the html tags that are allowed for a html designed cache listing? About a week ago the use of applet was inactivated and since just a few minutes ago the use of the link tag (<a href=....>abc</a> is not possible anymore . This is annoying especially if you want to insert a link to geochecker.com for mystery caches. Any ideas? Regards GeoBSWEScout

Unfortunately the 2.0.0.3 version does not work on my Powerbook G4 OSX 10.5.2. The software just crashes. Version 2.0.0.2 is fine.
