  1. Haven't done any, and would feel weird. The only one in our neighbourhood is this cache
  2. I'm 14 Geocaching seems to be for all ages, from kids to old people.
  3. I don't have any pics, but there have been some caches in very amusing shapes: A cache which was fake dog poo (really!) A cache where the owner cut open a wooden peg, put the cache in and put the cut out bit back in. A stage in a multi where the co-ords were stuck to the back of a magnet designed on the front to look like it was supposed to be there. A cache where the screw on the side of a seat was actually a magnetically attached fake screw with the cache behind it.
  4. Thanks guys. I guess I'll have to wait for an event, as I live in the North Island.
  5. Why would you want to hide a cache without a GPSr? If you don't have a GPSr, and have not found any caches (presumably), why would you want to hide one? I think you'll find it is actually possible to find a cache without a GPS. Anyway, thanks to a friend of mine I now have my first cache. Thanks everybody who gave me advice.
  6. I wanted to see if there are any events happening soon in my country, so I went to look. How am I supposed to know when and where the events are. The event calender at http://www.geocaching.com/calendar/Default.aspx tells me there is one happening in New Zealand on Sat but I can't find out anything about it. Please help!!
  7. Thanks guys. I'll have to find a way to get my cache posted. Maybe I can find someone else with a GPS. I wasn't expecting such a fast reply, this is quite useful. Thanks again.
  8. Is it possible to, and if so how do I hide a cache without a GPS device? Can you use Google Maps or a cellphone or something? Are you allowed to hide a cache without putting the exact co-ordinates somewhere on the site? Please answer.
