What some peope don't understand it that FRS is only for short distance. It is great for geocaching with friends with multi GPRs so why not put them all in one unite. We have 3 rino 120s in our group and we all love them. There is also a new rino comming out, the 130 and it looks realy good, the ony problem is the price.
I do understand !!! But if your NOT in line of sight you can pretty much forget any distance with the 110. Not even half the advertised distance. I can yell further than they could transmit. I use a Motorola 6300 FRS, has much better range. Look at the output wattage.
The GPS function worked good. I wouldnt pay the extra for the radio if your not going to use it. I like having unlimited mapping, storage of waypoints and routes on the SD card. Both will get you there.

I would say MeriPlat all the way. I had a Rino 110 and radio sucked. Maybe 1/2 mile.

Thanks all, just made some laminated cards. Have fun and enjoy!!

A while ago, there was a link to a smaller info sheet to place in micros explain what the container was. Anyone know where this link was? Search came up with nothing. I laminated the ones I had and hand them out to people that were interested.
Thanks

Try EasyGPS. It's the best as far as I'm concerned.

What I said

The only way to have both is a SD card and then you cant use both at the same time. Upload the image to the card then rename it then upload the next image. Use the GPS to toggle between the two.

I was researching GPS units for use off roading, hiking , traveling, fishing, etc. I hit the Geocaching.com site and was hooked before I even bought a unit. Geocaching fits so well with most of the other activities I enjoy anyway, it is perfect.
Same here, doing a search for a GPSr

I'm selling my Rino 110, includes all paperwork and a serial data cable. The unit is like new, not marks or scratches at all. Unit works great. I have owned it about 7 months. I'm asking 125.00 for all.
