  3. You have outdone yourself: Well Done! Its also interesting to see the top Cache Placers as well... [This message was edited by The Artful Dodger on April 24, 2002 at 08:24 AM.]
  4. My 4 geomonkey travel bugs are slow movers here in the US ... but my Dufus, the Dawg Travel Bug let loose in England moves around constantly. The cachers always seem to stick to the mission parameters I set for him and even take the effort to upload pictures.

  6. I came across these two Travel Bugs recently posted that caught my eye for its originality as well as its cache page design. Check it out ... Brian and Brenda's Roses. Ain't love sweet! .......
  7. Some of my cache pages will now have this logo on it ... Not all of them, but some of them... I am referring to those Happy Meal toys that often are broken or missing parts etc. [This message was edited by The Artful Dodger on April 20, 2002 at 05:25 PM.]
  8. American Airlines has a policy of NOT allowing GPS units to be used on board.
  9. It has been released since the 12th of April - and it is still a Beta version. link
  10. I agree that a well-written log is good to read. It shows the cache owner that their effort of placing the cache is appreciated. I've been guilty of leaving a long log or two (eh, BrianSnat ) Overall, I have found that the quality of logs on the website is improving. ...now, if we talk about the handwritings of the written logs at the cache .....

  12. This is way too funny.......seeing these entries as people try and get them to work ... If you prod me hard enough, maybe I'll tell you...
  13. ... I guess a person cannot have a little uniqueness for too long before someone spills the beans ...
  14. to prevent (or at least reduce) plundering is: When you hide the cache, will it survive all seasons? Last year, I hid a good container behind a bushy hedge - it was well hidden. Confident, I expected year long Logs. It was plundered... the reason? Winter came around and reduced that big bushy hedge to a few branches and debris. My prized hiding place was more exposed than a presidential scandal!! Secondly, dont leave the cache exposed in the open - even if it was off the beated track. El Garmino's Law of Geocaching states... "If a cache container is not suitably covered and hidden - it will attract all unwanted visitors"
  15. '# of people are watching this Travel Bug' indicator. Its such a pointless request, but for some reason, I really wish that it was there....

  17. ok. everything appears to be normal now.... was it just a timing thing?? Strange.
  18. Here's a puzzling one... I placed two caches in the Bahamas recently but their maps are not displaying on the cache pages. I checked other caches in the Bahamas and their intermational maps are displaying. Thinking it might be my actual cache pages, I checked the New caches for different countries and found that some of them are displaying and some of them are not - even for the same country. Have a look on the main page that lists the new caches...maybe I am missing something?
  19. That is a well-presented stats page! It is difficult to program a 'Last Weeks' or 'Last Months' position next to the table? In this way, one could see if they have moved up or down the ladder? ...just wondering....
  20. but I would love to have a Leaderboard/Statistics page as a permanent part of the Geocaching.com's website. Its nothing to do with the competitiveness part of it , just the WOW factor...
  21. Sorry to hear about the plundering of this cache !! I hate people that plunder caches ... I recently had one of my caches plundered. They left an entry in the logbook 'Team Geoterror was here'. I hope this isnt becoming a trend ... I was looking forward to returning to the scene of my cache nemesis and finally solving this one. I have a good idea where to search for it and am disappointed that I could not test my theory. I vote that you should replace it. Summer is here and there will be a lot more seekers.

  23. Hey Floopster! With all those cache searches you have done - .... which ones were the most memorable (or not!)ones for you? Do you have any good caching stories to tell? See any weird things on the trails? Pray tell.....
