  1. there was a video on youtube from a guy that did a float test on his 60csx. i tried looking for it again and couldn't find it.
  2. I agree, if they are going to do this, they should at least honor the EULA and allow the second unlock code for the people that purchased the software under those terms. If they don't, then refund some money or send a rebate check out to be used on a future purchase from Garmin. Something tells me that they won't do that though. Just another way that big business keeps us down. Just like gas prices. what are you gonna do?
  3. Is the price reductions for software only, or do they mean gpsr as well?
  4. Yeah, that was what I was assuming, but didn't know if anyone had any experience with all day rain and the 60csx being exposed to the elements.
  5. Does anyone know that capabilities of the 60csx when it comes to the waterproof feature? I know that it says that it is waterproof up to 3 meters for 30 minutes, but i'm wondering how it would do in all day, heavy rain. Anyone know?
  6. I figure that is the case. Garmin wouldn't make a gpsr that has ALL the features one would want. I've not been able to find anything on the internet that says that it has that feature.
  7. Does the 60csx support the real time traffic info?
  8. chandljl-- thanks for the info, from what i have read in here, the non-nt is the better product than the nt version?? Also, I read on Garmins website that they don't recommend the ultra II micro SD card for the 60csx. Any input on this? I think sandisk and kensington makes a ultra II card. And they say that is only the 2gig version of the ultra II. I'm not the familiar with micro SD cards, so I don't know if 2gig is the only capacity that the ultra II comes in??
  9. Thanks for all the good info. For some reason, I missed the expandable memory, which I would want, b/c I would assume that I would want to load the entire US onto the GPSr and be done with it and not have to worry about what sections of the US are loaded onto the GPSr. I believe I will be going with the 60csx, I don't think I will go wrong with it. Thanks again to everyone that chimed in on this!
  10. I have been looking at the 60cs and 60csx for a couple of months now. I looked on ebay tonight for the 60cs and found some that say that the barometric sensor and electronic compass were included in the 60cs model. From everything that I have read, the 60csx comes with these sensors and is the main, if only, difference between the two. I don't know if I should spend the extra money for these two options or just go for the 60cs for less money. Is this a error on the seller description or were these options available on earlier models of the 60cs? Thanks.
