  1. Add one more nurse to the list. Are we still winning??????
  2. We don't usually leave expensive items, but they're always new. We find mainly crap in our area-beat up matchbox cars, expired GNC discount card, movie ticket stub, used golf balls, etc. Lots of broken toys and a lot of things that can only be described as someones garbage. (as in they must have retrieved it from the trash) I don't for one minute think "good" swag has to be expensive, but a gum wrapper or a couple of rubber bands shouldn't be used as trade items in my opinion. Even the least rich among us can no doubt afford a quick trip to Family Dollar.
  3. A lot of my co-workers think it's stupid. One in particular has a lot of fun making fun of geocaching. I was telling everyone how much fun we had at MOGA and this woman wanted to know if we had to pay to attend. I told her what we paid for the registration package ($139.00 for the two of us) and that camping was only $8 and before I could say another thing she said "OMG! I can't believe you paid that much money to go out and look for crap in a box you don't even get to keep!" I responded "It makes a lot more sense than spending more than that to go sit in the hot sun watching idiots driving around in circles all day!" She's a big NASCAR fan. Any racing fans or competitors on board please forgive me but that was the first thing that popped into my head. It shut her up for a while.
  4. I have to agree. I can't believe some og the crap people leave as swag. Te other day we found a matchbox-type car that looked like it had been run over by a school bus. We find lots of busted up stuff like that.
  5. I got my PQ, sent to GSAK, and the to my cachemate equipped Palm. Everything is perfect except for one thing: I do not have the descriptive notes that should accompany my waypoint downloads. I have searched everywhere and I still can't figure out what the problem is or how to solve it. By the way, ONE of my waypoints has the descriptive info, but the rest don't. I don't have any idea how this happened.
  6. I did that and it says it's been done but when I look none of my waypoints are in the Palm. Where did they go? Ok, I managed to get the waypoints from GSAK to my Palm. New problem-none of the notes are there-you know, the descriptions, hints, etc. I am feeling really dumb right now. . . I DID I! Now I can go caching!!! Whoopee!

  9. Yes, I read that. I have cachemate and I downloaded GSAK. I still can't figure out how to get it from my PC to the palm, tho. I'm not sure the Palm is installed correctly. I'm going to bed. My head hurts now.
  10. I just got my Palm Z22 today. I've been using EasyGPS to download coordinates into my GPSr. I know I can download the cache notes to the Palm if I use GSAK. Can this be done with EasyGPS too or only with GSAK? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
  11. I ordered a premium membership last night and paid by credit card (I couldn't get it to work using paypal). How long will it take before my membership is activated?
  12. I have a Palm Z22 Color PDA set up for geocaching for $25.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Cluso, I sent you an email.
