  1. I'm using Chrome. It has the issues mentioned by the OP.
  2. "Retreating outside, I headed down to Pitt Street and George Street to try to buy a cheap pair of ______." LOL...You are possibly showing your age. I used to call them that until persuaded to start calling them flip-flops. Seems the younger generations are disturbed by the word having two meanings. Anyway, congrats on your tenth anniversary.
  3. I did not know of these release notes until after I had posted in another part of the forum so rather than rewrite my post from another forum I will quote it here: The title of my post explains the problem - I'm in Victoria, BC. The search filter thinks I'm in Fort MacMurray, Alberta. "Yes, my home location is set in Victoria and has never been changed from its original value. I am trying to create a list of all caches that have more than 90 favourites that are located in Canada. I had previously successfully created a list with more than 100 faves but thought I would future proof it a bit. That's when the trouble started. Now, not only is the search center located as the title describes but the list contains no virtual caches at all. I know that to be completely incorrect. After many attempts to change my location I am here hoping someone will have an idea of what is happening." After reading the whole of this thread it appears that gsbarnes and I aren't the only ones reporting an arbitrary search center and as I mentioned above the search is completely ignoring virtuals.
  4. LOL! Not that I have anything against Fort Mac I just have no plans to visit. A quote from MrCanoehead224 from the new search page release notes solidifies my thinking about the problem: "I had some time to check on challenge caches I might qualify for in Edmonton, AB. So I searched around one i know about and chose a 20 km radius for mystery caches with challenge in the name. In the photo, you can see I get over 32,000 results and all in Germany. So it seems the search is still acting rather arbitrarily." It's nice to know it wasn't anything I did accidentally. I won't hold my breath waiting for a solution.
  5. Maybe answering my own problem... Just found the release notes from Thursday about an obvious rewrite of the search/results area. I'm not the only one that the search page thinks is many 100's of kilometers from where they actually are. I guess I'll have to wait until that mess is fixed.

After many attempts to change my location I am here hoping someone will have an idea of what is happening. The format of the search results page has changed since my 100+ faves list was created. I wonder if something else has been messed up too.
  7. I had trouble just logging in to post this comment. Trying to log caches right now is extremely frustrating.
  8. I'm getting "Failure 3" on quite a few Canadian provinces. Is it something I need to change somewhere?
  9. Okay that was really weird. It has been gone all day and when I decide to post here about it the Thunderforest base reappears. At least I know how to fix it next time.
  10. seems to have disappeared. At least on my main map page anyway. Using the default geocaching map base just doesn't cut it.
