I've confirmed that Osiris (and Anubis ) made the boat. So it will be F5 time again tomorrow or Saturday. Personally, I like the Osiris version best, so we'll have to see how the photos turn out of it. I mean, who hates Satin Gold and green? TMA I'm anticipating the moment Pete. Finally, after so many requests the Geocoinfest comes to Europe. In order to have the greatest number of attendees i supose that Germany would be the best choice of all. But if you're looking for sunny places, warmer climate and nice people them Mark, Portugal's the best choice I'm in. I'll work on a team to present an bid to host the even in LISBON / PORTUGAL. I'm allready preparing the 2nd Geocoin Festival and it will be superb to end up with such organization. Should we have some guidelines on what is needed to present. Send me the cheet sheet please. Cool. But I would rather make something I can sell at my event. I think the appeal of 10 - 10 -10 outwieghs the appeal of caching icons. Agree. And that's the spirit of all the previous geocoins on previous occasions: 8-8-8 and 9-9-9. PL

Two questions come to mind... Do each of those spin? and if so why not hav the spin vertically more like a counter? Of three questions...As someone mentioned, did they get approval to use the Earthcache Icon. I am working on a Earthcache coin and they said no at first. Need to pay a royalty. Now back to the regularly scheduled discussion. I would drop Earthcache and Mega also. Hi Mike, I can answer two of those questions. The first ones . They spin. Horizontally. But i agree with you that spinning vertically would give a better emphasis on the counting mood of the geocoin. Regarding the third one i really don't know. Paulo

Boy that would have been great for the 10 Years! coins. Directly related to geocaching whereas 10-10-10 really has nothing to do with caching other than the events planned. But then again 10 things of caching and the numbers of 10. I know I am wishy washy LOL That said I guess I should think up things that have to do with the number 10.... And to tell you the truth i became really confused since i want to sell MY Titanic from the original batch, my "Can of Beans Geocoins", my .... every one i bought from Geocoindesign and I don't want to be surprised in the future with such statements. This isn't nice and will probably have impact on how i buy geocoins. Paulo

First version was made in 2008, then i started the design of the '09 version, but i couldnt start producing the coin at that time. And i didnt wanted to skip a year so this one i'll be relative to '09. And the 2010 will probably come late this year if you noticed, that happened also with the Portuguese Geocoin for 2009 (the one with Camões the most famous portuguese poet on the front). This is a problem that arises from the difficulty to get the projects going on smoothly. Specially when we came to the point where we need to get the money doing these This one is a very personal project from Diogo. A great looking geocoin, a little bit less personal than i would expect, tought. Nevertheless beautiful, and the translucents would create some nice efffects. There are lots of projects for new geocoins arising here in Portugal every month. Some people are doing them on a personal basis - like the Castelo Branco geocoin a wonderful, white, pure and clean geocoin from Geopate, and some are a little more organized like the KoinAlchemy who've made the Portucale geocoin - a tribute to the city of Porto. The winner would be chosen by me among the best answers (most photos, more info, most research on the geocoin theme, the designer, more funny, etc...). You can search info at: www.geocaching-pt.net and at www.geopt.org and specially asking portuguese geocoin collectors (find them out there). The prize is a complete set of all Portuguese geocoins from 2010 (the ones already published and the others that are on the designers minds - i will send them along the year if needed - i must be crazy ). I kind of agree with it Eltada about the 10 years being used twice on the back. I really liked the first coin back that had 'world wide' on it instead of multi'event. It kind of brings us all together like the events. Maybe put world wide back on the the backside and in the small circle put 'multi event' there instead of the 10 years? Just a thought. Nice.
