Wow look at all those snakes I hardly even saw mine I was caching in the hills over Concord CA. I was on my bike and had grabbed a couple on the way up the trail (even hid one). The trail was a little too steep so I dumped my bike beside the trail and walked the last 500' "El Calle.. . . ."GCPW7P. The coords took me to a rock beside the trail and I reached over to grab beneath - it felt like someone had poked a sharp stick into my fingers - I looked and saw a snake moving away under the grass. I called 911 and they put me on hold I walked back to my bike and called 911 again - on hold I got on my bike and coasted down the hill - about 1.5 miles. At the parking lot a worker put my bike on my Jeep and directed me to the firehouse/paramedics - about a block away - I went there, it was closed . I started driving towards the nearest hospital - 5 - 6 miles. Enroute I flagged another car at a stop light and told him what happened and requested he follow me to emergency - he did (he had a great story at dinner that night)- by this time my body was tingling all over and I didn't know what was going to happen and when. They made short work of the IV's at emergencey and had me tubed up in no time. I spent that night in intesive care and the following night on the ward. They gave me 16 vials of anti-venom and I was there for 2 days - the antivenom was $1,000 per vial and for 2 days at $2,000 = $20,000 - therefore I named the cache I placed on the way up the "Twenty Thousand Dollar Cache" - and the nice part is that the owner of El Calle was able to make FTF on the $20K cache - sorry no pics - and all is well that ends well

I accept your approach - and I think it is admirable and very ethical. Just remember benefit #6 and remember profit is not a four letter word. -

Value - that is an understament - for the price - YOU ARE TOO CHEAP - charge more and your wife will feel better (benefit #6) -

THANK YOU THANK YOU Something that simple - not being a programmer I did not recognize what I had done. once again GSAK has come through I have often wondered why you don't "charge" for the upgrades - or offer something for monetary value - your software is in the extreme for being underpriced. Perhaps a yearly fee (the reason I subscribed was benefit #6). I don't know if everybody agrees with me on that -

thanks for the quick reply - I am duplicating my previous actions - in other words I am doing what I always have done -and that is a .mps file. as for "nothing" - I export to an .mps file - with "87 waypoints" - when I open that file the waypoints are not present - I am also attempting to find my mapsource software and see if that is the problem - do you have any suggestions -

First time I have had a problem with GSAK - typically I download the GPX files - export to Cachemate and Mapsource - worked fine yesterday on a database. I went to download a new PQ this morning and it would NOT export the waypoints to the Mapsource file. I did some troubleshooting and modified known databases and they would not update the MS file, I created new db and new MS file still nothing. I restarted - nothing - I downloaded GSAK - restarted - nothing. I am at a loss as to why I cannot export to Mapsource - HELP - I want to go caching this afternoon Apart from the above this is the greatest thing to hit since bubblegum -

the whole plot was weak - and the tie in to caching was even weaker. -

Just turned offf the TV and I am embarassed that I recommended this show to my friends that were interested in geocaching. What a joke - burying caches, trowels to dig them up - but the little panic button was rather creative -
where do i find the command/icon to download the pics?

I've done it - attached a picture to a log - but darned if i can find it tonite whats the secret

Until recently I was able to download waypoints and send them to my etrex legend - then back to mapsource. Apparently I have changed some settings. I have tried all the com settings to no avail. the computer does not recognize the gps. Any helpful ideas - it is all on Com4 - autodetect and nothing. I have heard there is a USB connector for the Garmin - anybody have any comments on it? 3 hours this morning trying to do this and I would rather be caching

good morning Marky - we are in Moss Landing and have at least one of yours in the Santa Cruz area on our list to grab today - as you can see confusion reigns on the Palm Harv & Suz (we met in at the event in Pleasanton) -
I have a Palm 720 and want to download data so I don't have to print all the pages. any and all help would be appreciated
