  2. Not a good day geocaching. the weather here went from -20c to +15c in a day and I thought it would be great to get out and hit some caches the first one I went to was my own and it was soaked. I had to disable it so I could take the contents home and dry it out. I then tried another cache but after a kilometer hike I find I'm in the wrong park and theres a 6 foot fence a canal and train tracks barring my way. so I trudge soggedly and muddily back to my truck and decide to hit one more cache, this one too I find I'm on the wrong side of a canal and train tracks. So I finished the day by rewashing my truck Oh well the weather was nice More to see, More to do

  11. quote:Originally posted by worldtraveler:A security screening guard confiscated one from me at the Atlanta airport once; he said it could be used as a weapon (aluminum knuckles, maybe ) so I wasn't allowed to carry it onto the plane. And this was pre-9/11 when they still allowed carrying pocket knives and box cutters onboard. Confirmation that jerks can have a vivid imagination. Worldtraveler Unfortunately with every job you have idiots, I work Canadian airport security, I sometimes find strange things in the confiscated items bin. When I ask why a item was taken it's often because a guard didn't know what it was. Many of them seem to have a philosophy of when in doubt confiscate. today the strange item was a air hose coupler, the guard thought it was a tool so they confiscated it. Fortunately the passenger got it back More to see, More to do

  20. I voted good, because it also has a virtual quality to it with the questionnaire form that if you get all 6 answers right you could win a Geocaching prize pack. That makes it quite unique More to see, More to do
  21. The only way we could prevent this happining is to have a code inside the cache that you need to enter in order to log a find but that would cause problems all its own. I prefer the honor sytem even if it meens putting up with jerks More to see, More to do
  22. quote:That kinda crap bugs me to no end. If I ever caught someone sticking a bumper sticker on MY car, it'd be a long time before their fingers worked properly to be able to do it again. What ever happened to respect for another's property??? I agree with you about wanting to smash any fingers that dared put a sticker on my SUV without permission, but bumper stickers are easy enough to remove just take the vehicle to a high pressure car wash and you can blast any unwanted stickers into oblivion More to see, More to do
