On one of our caches a log mentioned: "An elderly Gentleman then arrived and started chatting to us thought we were doing a census I said counting ducks as we had the cache in our hands had to wander around counting ducks til we could replace it!!" NB: Cache was near a duck pond

Well this was fun... We went for a random drive on the motorway near fleet thinking of placing a new cache, pulled into the services bought a map (needed one even though we've lived here for 10+ years) and selected a random wood. Finally we got to the canal....with random directions from Missy Mishap and her awesome map reading skills! Out of the car emerged Emma and myself along with Kiera (Aged 3) and Nicola (aged 10) Oh and our gorgeous new puppy, Jessica (aged 16 weeks!), she's a crossbreed Staffy + Lab . We headed to the canal sign and after deciding which way we would walk headed off. Loverly walk down the canal, was Jessicas 2nd walk, thought I'd let her off the lead as she's scared of puddles so the canal wouldn't be a problem.....oh dear one soaked doggy and one drenched me as a hauled a panicked puppy out of the water (She seemed fine and ran off with the kids to leave me to dry off). Anyway back to the cache, we finally got to the lake we wanted to see on the map, gorgeous! Look at all the sheep Nic said....no Canadian Geese don't look like sheep, well I don't think they do. We thought we'd start the walk back as the bridges up ahead were 'Private' Boring! On our way back to the canal the littlest of our group Kiera wanted to place our cache in a cool place she had found, after throwing it in I helped to hide it, low and behold there was already a cache there!
