  1. I agree with both of you. The reason I got into geocaching was to have fun and visit places I had never been. Brass caps have taken me all over Alberta as well. Likewise, the moving cache Stash n' Dash (GCA0D6) has been a constant delight in my family since it is a competition to see who can find it first in its new hiding spot. The fact that it has a cooling-off period of 20 days means you have to await your turn to find it again. Delightful caches all of them. I see no real point in the proposed rules since I maintain my caches and delete duplicate logs regularly.
  2. I'm very confused with this type of comment? What is geocaching? Well here's a log from my Brass Cap cache that does give me a great explanation of what geocaching is all about. Note the comment.... "They are the reason we have explored so much of our great province. The most favourite reason I love hunting for caps is all the fun I’ve had finding them with family and good friends and the memories we have created together "
  3. I was looking at the features on Google Earth as they relate to geocaching and thought that it would be rather nice to be able to have G/E link to my geocaching.com profile's TB/geocoin list so as to show their whereabouts and movements from cache to cache in the world. Is there anyone who would be interesting in developing such a feature?
  4. I appear to have have the same mistake as a number of other cachers - downloading the new Google Earth. I have been messing about with it all day and still get a "fetch error". Google Earth referred me here. I have no idea what any of the posted computer codes mean in the above emails. All I want is to be able to see the caches like I was able to in the old Google Earth. How do I go about getting an old copy of Google Earth - pre-upgrade version?? Thanks.
  5. Bonjour and merci, Yves; My three coin set arrived today. They are absolutely beautiful! You must be very proud of the way they turned out. Credit to Landsharkz too for the great job of manufacturing them. These will mark Quebec's 400th anniversary celebration very appropriately. My wife is originally from La Salle so these coins are going to have a special place in my collection. Of course, they'd make a great addition to any geocoin collection. Now that I have them, I am thinking that I may jot you another email and pick up a couple more before they are sold out. I think I should send a least one of these historic coins out into the wild as well for everyone to enjoy. Thanks very much for prompt email responses and fast, safe delivery. Terry/GeoDreamCacher
  6. Email sent for trio pre-order. Thanks.
  7. I have tried clicking (and unclicking) "Shared" and "Public"; however, both post my bookmarks on the cache's webpage for all to see. How do I set up bookmarks that don't show up for the world to read? Thanks. Terry
