  1. Check your GPX folder. Its likely there but the garmin will not show caches far away from your current location. I think over 100 miles.
  2. I think Comcast blocked geocaching.
  3. I am not getting notifications that my caches are found?
  4. This is so different, it will take some time to relearn. So far, I am not convinced it is an improvement.
  5. A good quality cache has these characteristics, maybe others but these are the ones that make it a good experience for me. 1. Easy parking, not a shoulder on a busy road. 2. Accurate coordinates, ie, within 15 feet. 3. A clean, maintained container that is water proof. 4. If not obvious, trailhead coordinates. 5. Relatively few muggles around while searching.
  6. 500 server error pops up when I try to submit a find?
  7. I wish a clever engineer would solve the gasket problem with nanos and bisons. Cachers crank down them down and destroy the gasket. Here in the great NW Wet the logs are always wet in winter. It is a challenge.
  8. IE is a definite no. I finally got it installed in Firefox. 1. Make Firefox the default browser in Settings. 2. Ignore all warnings.
  9. Neither Firefox nor Chrome will install Garmin Communicator in Windows 10, at least for me. Communicator uses a protocol not supported in W10. If anyone has a solution, please post here.
  10. To use Communicator in Chrome: 1. Make Chrome the default browser. 2. Enable NPAPI in Chrome by pasting this in the Chrome search window: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi 3.click on enable npapi then click relaunch at lower left. 4. Install communicator
  11. I miss it too. When out in the field it takes too much time to decrypt. We do not have a smartphone.
  12. We like to print out the cache pages since we do not have a smartphone. Lately the printouts have been scrambled. I finally figured it out. I had to turn off Compatibility View for Geocaching.com. I had to turn it on a couple years back to get something else to work. All is good now.
  13. Thanks, I added Compatibility View and it works again.
  14. Suddenly I started getting the message Communicator Not Installed? It has been working fine until today. I'm using W7 and IE. I applied the fixes to Internet Options per Garmin, no help. Communicator is listed in Control Panel and as an Add-on in IE. Google Chrome works fine. What to do?
  15. Ok, so how do the group of caches like 29 on the 29th of Feb. get published all at one time? Or how do you coordinate with a reviewer to publish your caches at a certain time?
  16. What is the criteria for rating Reviewers? How does Groundspeak know they are doing the job, such as timeliness in reviewing new caches, compliance with the rules, etc.
  17. Either sloooow server or ? I get a busy signal when I try to view a cache description.
  18. I d/l a gpx file with multiple caches using EasyGPS. How do I get to the hints and logs? I found the gpx file on the garmin and reopened it so I know it is there. Jim
  19. Not fixed. this cache does not appear. GC2XTA0
  20. Still not working. This cache disappears on the map. GC2XTA0 its on the Tacoma UW campus.
  21. I would like to have the ability to create a route from a pre-picked list of caches. MS Streets and Maps has this feature. It creates the shortest route to various stops. This feature would solve part of the failure of the current maps.
