  1. Thanks for the replys. I guess I am a numbers guy, not that its important to have a high find count but I think it would be cool to find one that was so popular.
  2. I wish! I could use a couple days to geocache. But I work for the govt. We dont get to strike for any reason. I am looking forward to Sunday. I went by R&R today to make sure I could pick up the meat on Saturday. Do you know if we will need ice Chests?
  3. No one knows of any popular caches? Wow I thought there would be more responses. Can you here me now? Good!
  4. I personally think there is nothing wrong with a pocket knife. Please tell me why that would not be OK. What kid has not had a pocket knife. If the child is too young to have a pocket knife they will not be geocaching alone anyway. Now we once found condoms in a cache. I will add the short cut. This is supposed to be family oriented. Sticks and Stones
  5. I did the Yellow Jeep, but I am looking for traditional cache's.
  6. Which geocache has the most logs? I saw this cache. I havent found one with so many logs, I was curious which one was the most visited. (Traditional Cache's) Sin City Micro
  7. I really like the compass. I have a 76s and just ordered the 60cs. I originally had a GPSr without the electronic compass. I checked and the cost diff is $39.05. Thats at www.getfeetwet.com where the 60c has free shipping and the 60cs has $20.00 off. The diff is the $39.05. If your going to put out the $ for the 60c just go the extra and get the cs. You will not be disappointed. Now get out there and geocache.
  8. If I pay membership back to the first year can I be a Charter Member?
  9. USAF Feb 83 to Feb 87 at Offutt AFB Nebraska after training at Sheppard in Texas. Offutt was SAC head quarters. There were 24 Generals on base. I worked about half my time in the HQ building including the underground command post then the base side. At Offutt there were so many Officers that the only ones that got any real respect were Full Bird Col's and above. I had a top secret clearance and I hope what I'm sharing is unclassified, if not you may get some visitors since now you to know. Looking back, it was a great assignment. Now my Son is in the USAF stationed at Beal AFB but currently training in Nevada. He will be going to Kuait in Sept. then maybe Iraq. He is in the Security Forces. I cant tell you how proud I am of my Son. PS Were do I find you when I'm hungry?
  10. I currently have a GPS MAP76S. I am selling it to a friend because I ordered the 60cs. Let me tell you, if you haven't used an electronic compass when geocaching you are missing out. No, an extra compass will not work the way I use my GPS. It will point to the geocache. I dont have to take a step here to there back and forth to get closer to the coord's I look at the arrow and walk right to it. I will not have a GPS without an electronic compass.
  11. Also at getfeetwet.com they extend the warranty another year. Thay also cross ship so you wont be without a GPSr for to long. Just my $.02
