  1. I have been reading the forums and I still don't get something. There are things like SWAG, what is that and some of the other abbreviations?
  2. Go for some 1* and 1* to get an idea of the logic behind the hides. Certain cachers will hide their caches in a fashion that you will figure out after awhile.
  3. Good thinking. The reboot worked. Wierd stuff P.S. I are Buffalo Fillet for dinner (true), I hope that dosen't get me booted off again. Thanks for your help.
  4. I dont think so. Nothing has changed on my end. I replied to their email but have not received anything back. I'm not an addict or anything but I need to cache man! I just need one cache man! Please.
  5. sbcglobal.net is my DSL provider. I would think they could just shut that one person off.
  6. I am just a premium member at home, one PC no pda and one GPS. No body else here using the site, and if its the Buffalo they should have let me know before. Seriously I dont believe I have done anything. I responded to some posts here but nothing out of line. I have sent an email but no response yet.
  7. I dont understand. I am the only one here that uses this site. Not sure what I may have done. I logged a cache on Saturday. I checked for any new caches yesterday but nothing else. How do I find out what happened?
  8. I received this message while trying to go to gc.com. Any idea why? Geocaching.com IP Error Page We experienced a network error from your IP address and it has been temporarily disabled. Please contact us at admin@Groundspeak.com right away so we can correct it. Thank you, The Groundspeak Team
  9. This cache had some very interesting logs. Some of which did not get logged on the GC website. The cache was found by several different turkey hunters who actually wrote in the log book, that they took the cache (ammo box) home not knowing what it was then returning it after they read the GC letter. One Hunter actually left shotgun shells as a trade item and took the tape measure to measure the beard on his turkey. I kid you not! Then another took the shells. One guy right after 9/11/01 found it and tried to open it thinking it was a bomb. He said he used a stick with the cache between two rocks and when that didn't work he unlatched it, opened it and threw it denting the can in the process, just in case it blew up. This was the best cache for log's I have found. I see I was the last to log it. It was just before turkey season so I hope it's still there. Migrating Fish
  10. Your kidding! I work for the county and you cant tell me that 3 bucks a month digs that deep into your wages.
  11. They offer a window suction mount, I am going to get one of those. The bag friction mount works ok but I had a window mount for my 76s and I prefer that. On the compass issue, Use the compass to get you to the general location then lift the GPSr to get the closest.
  12. I agree 100%. I think people have a problem with him because he has high moral values. I think the non supporters are just ashamed of the last guy.
  13. I would like to know this as well. I can load all of the city select SW but not the TOPO.
  14. How do I let myself get drawn into these things? Please accept my appology.
  15. I'm trying to make funny. Lighten up a little. I was responding to someone else being disrespectful.
  16. I said caches not posts. So I wasn't violating but I feel voilated because I was chastised.
  17. Maybe you (DamOTclese) should go geocaching. A member for over a year with 17 finds. Not a serious cacher so you probubly dont understand the topics. Maybe if you paid the $30 for premium membership you wouldn't be so upset. I agree with you then, get off the forums and go caching. You'll have alot more fun.
  18. Its the 60c/cs and 76c/cs. Go to the WWW.Garmin.com website and check it out. I just started using mine and I am still learning.
  19. If you have ever been geocaching with a GPSr that has a built in compass you will never go back. The compass works together with the go-to function in a way a stand alone compass could not. I speak from experience. I have owned 3 diffrent GPSr's. The last two a 76s and today I received my 60cs. Save a little more, bite the bullet and go with the electronics. This is 2004 the compass works! If you do you have MY guarantee you will not be disapointed. Its like, should I go with the Yugo or the Corvette? The Yugo will get you there (maybe) but who wants to go with a Yugo when you can drive a Vet.?
  20. huh? So are saying that I am not correct? Well I thought it also could have been a sensor for the belchnoiter but I believe the wigometer compensates for that varience.
  21. I believe, like the 76s, the temp is for water temp if you have the unit connected to a fish locator on your boat that is equiped with the temp sensor. Thats what I understand.
  22. Today I received my 60cs and loaded City Select with the unlock code. Then I noticed I have 3.20 S/W. If I load 3.30 will I lose my City Select down load?
