  1. Just tried it myself and it worked (I'm using an older version of GSAK, 6.6.0). The key settings in the screen shot above are "limit number of logs to export: 0" and "always include my logs". CacheStats will stop loading as soon as it sees logs for different cachers since it doesn't know which one you want to gather statistics for. Sadly with the settings you quote it didn't work for me either . As others have said this program would be very useful if a GSAK generated GPX file could be loaded.
  2. precisely what I was trying to get across to you in our earlier discussion. So how do you deal with a multi cache that has the same main cache co-ords, the same parking co-ords and the same co-ords for 'stages of a multicache? I use GSAK/Memory Map and MapSource and find I need to manipulate the co-ords to get rid of the unnecessary duplicates to make the maps /sensible/readable. Ha bloody ha, you are a comedian aren't you? Unless you're a pheasant you have no worries driving with me (ask Pharisee or Omally, we've spent many a mile together in my car/s). For clarity what I said was when I was driving I look at the map to see if there are any potential caches nearby - I certainly made no reference to 'logging' caches at 70mph, though even if I did it is no concern of yours - we each play this game as we please.
  3. Just look for an unnatural pile of twigs - should solve 99.9% of woodland cache placings.
  4. Seen that. I've not yet sussed why accessing/downloading using Outlook Express does not to suffer the same problem though . ... and before anyone 'suggests' it my gmail settings are fine - they've been checked & double checked - that was my first port of call.
  5. I do hope not, as that would defeat the purpose of having structured data for the waypoints. Thankfully, I don't see anywhere in that thread where Jeremy said he would do it. Oh he did see Link I have had this discussion with Alastair and others and still cannot see any valid reason why an 'additional' waypoint should be the same as the 'main' cache. If it is then it is not an 'additional' waypoint in my view. As I discussed with Alastair, when using mapping programs on your GPS it is not very helpful to have icons superimposed over one another! There is a cache listed in the UK that has the exact same co-ords for the 'main' cache, 'parking' and 'stages for a multicache'. When I drive past what icon do I see? Yes, I can program GSAK or whatever to ignore the 'spurious' waypoints but why post them in the 1st place? Why not just post the 'main' co-ords and leave out the duplicate ones?
  6. Won't be long now, but there is still a lot of work to be done! Those white boxes they are in look excellent for shipping purposes Looking forward to receiving mine, thanks for the update.
  7. Sorry that aint the answer - the loading is always done via a macro and nothing has changed there.
  8. Have heard of a few others having similar problems. Wanted to gauge the response here first before posting there.
  9. I would also add "Go for it". There comes a time when a repreive from searching for an "unnatural pile of twigs in yet another woodland area that is much the same as the last woodland area" is a joy. Having said that I doubt I'll ever visit Swansea - they can't spell 'proper like' there I'm told .
  10. GSAK has happily downloaded then deleted PQs from my GMail account for quite some time now. During the last few days or so this no longer is the case, the PQ mails are not being deleted after GSAK download as requested - I'm interested as to whether anyone else is having a similar problem? (I hasten to add - no need for anyone to ask "Have the GMail Server settings been changed" cos they haven't (not by me anyway) )
  11. I heard the term banded about but what is a "reference" waypoint ? It's essentially "Other" - it can be used to "Reference" places along a trail etc. On a similar topic, Jeremy did say a while ago link in a response to this post that there would be a mechanism in place to stop entering co-ords for the various 'additonal waypoints' that are identcal to the 'main' cache co-ords. Do you know if this has been implemented yet Lacto?
  12. After further trials please ignore my comment in previous post (shown above with strike thru) - it is incorrect!
  13. Here's a screenshot of the 60CS with the "Big Numbers" setting. I imagine the CSX would be much the same. The Garmin 60 series (and others in their range) have a transreflective display and perform exceptionally well in direct sunlight. HTH Edited to add: The fields shown in the pic above are user selectable.
  14. I was in a bit of a rush when I posted this... Unfortunately childpoints are not passed on to the script from gsak: http://www.gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=1895 So the workaround is a two step process of generating a gpx file first and then converting it into the csv file. For reference here are my settings (need to be adapted): http://roolku.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/step1.jpg http://roolku.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/step2.jpg Let's hope Clyde fixes little shortcoming soon. Cheers Roolku Hi Roolku While playing I came to the same 2 step process conclusion as you have posted. A gpx file generated by GSAK then has to be processed by your xsl script and all is hunky dory - cheers mate. I've gotten a bit 'behind' on the latest implementations of your superb script, glad to see it's an easy fix in the end. One thing I did notice is that the GC code appeared twice in the mouseover of an icon. For my usage I removed <xsl:value-of select="gpx:name"/> <xsl:text> - </xsl:text> to avoid this. Thanks once again for your (and others) effort with this, it does add another dimension to MM.
  15. http://roolku.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/GSAK2MM_2b.ZIP is the version of the script I am currently using for that purpose. Maybe it helps you. Hi Roolku. Once again thanks for your efforts on this script. Using the one you've posted above I have finally got the CITO caches to display with the correct icon . However none of the 'extra' waypoints are being generated in the csv file , any idea why this should be the case? Edited to add: I think I've found the answer to my own question. It seems as if Babel doesn't output the format as per the script - e.g. "gpx:type='Waypoint|Parking Area'" does not appear in the gpx file generated by Babel. Or am I missing a step somewhere?
  16. Further to Miragee post above re pocket queries - the latest version of MapSource (6.10.2) available here can load GPX files directly.
  17. I think the link to the 3.15 firmware upgrade is here. If the site is down I can email it to you. I used to have a 315 and have just found I still have the update on my PC.
  18. Make it a multi, and put the coords in the nano, that way everone is happy Forget the Multi idea, stick with the traditional , - if necessary I'll take Pharisee out and help him find it (actually he's pretty good at locating Micro's and Nano's - I've been out with him and can testify to his skills . )
  19. Seconded - a very good and cheap source of strong magnets (albeit an 'odd' shape) and there are two of them.
  20. GSAK can do this for you automatically when grabbing the mail attachments. If you are familiar with GSAK select the "Use subject to name saved files" option on the "getmail" page.
  21. How about Winchester HCC Event (& Evening BBQ for cachers) (19th July 2003) believed to be the Worlds 1st outdoor Geocaching event with live remote internet connection via satellite available on site.
  22. Actually Lester GSAK can do this as well
  23. This isn't true I'm afraid. Your found log should appear in the PQ irrespective how many further logs have been made, yours should be the last in the list. PQs for caches you've not found should contain 5 logs, for a cache you have found there should be 6 logs, yours being the last if 5 or more have been made since you logged it. HTH.
  24. I'm sorry Neo_Geo but you are wrong. Provided an individual is a premium member and are 'logged-in' when viewing an individual cache page they can download a .gpx file of its detail. See ...Cache Page HTH
