  1. No It is obvious that the chicken came first. As it is easier for a chicken to lay an egg than it is for an egg to lay a chicken - at least we think it is obvious!!
  2. There is a link for UK geocaching supplies on our geocachingPortal
  3. We get ours from Anchor Supplies There is a link on our Portal under accessories
  4. Sorry can't make that one as we are off to Carol's Mum and Dads for a chinese meal else we would have loved to have been there!! Hope that you all have a great time!!
  5. Well Done Steviep welcome to the 5 + club!! From both of us
  6. Just done searches in USA, GB and Australia for Project APE caches - and all struck with Zilch! Are there any of these illusive caches still available or is it time to remove them off the lists? Regards John + Carol
  7. It says you don't have to know the cachers! Even people who are mentioned haven't a clue how to solve this one - i hope there are lots of McD toys left!!
  8. Hi We are thinking of setting up a hallowe'en cache - we thought of the idea of linking ghostly places together as a multi. Leading to a final place - preferably a spooky hollow in a wood. Now what we need is a bit of a twist at the end...any ideas?!? I know that there are a few caches that are meant to be done at night - do we use reflectors of glo-in-the-dark paint? Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
  9. We are thinking of getting an Acer N35 for caching - nice colour screen and maps and integral GPS. We already have Memory Map program and think that this is great. Our question is can Memory Map be used with this unit? The operating system of the Unit is Windows mobile 2003. Many thanks John + Carol
  10. UK links are on our geocaching portal under the accessories button at Geocaching Portal hope that helps
  11. Perhaps it's me - not making myself understood very well!! I am a premium member and the Insta-notify is great , but limited to 50 miles. What I am asking for is: when I want to search the new caches hidden in the country then an extra mileage indicator from home co-ords would be very useful for the reasons stated above. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to create as it is on so many other applications, the weekly list, the filtered list from home co-ordinates, the nearest from another cache etc That's not too much to ask is it?
  12. When we click on the newest caches in a country link we get a list of caches that have just been published. We think that this could be improved by adding the distance from the home co-ordinates of the cacher viewing said list. That way we could see new local caches without having to recognise the names of the cachers who had hidden them, or know whether or not to work out a puzzle cache only to find out that it is at the other side of the country. Not being technical I don't know how difficult this would be to implement - but it is there on our nearest cache list, and also when you do a search from a cache - so we wouldn't think that it should be too difficult to do?!?
  13. Website up and running again - thanks to Wanadoo and BT!!
  14. Hi We will change the Middlesborough ones, and the Man City ones as soon as possible The nearest to Middlesborough are: Young Cook (North Yorks) Newport Meadow and Eston Nab (Cleveland) and for Manchester City we have: Boggarts Behind You It's A Crime and Serenity (Manchester) You can score goals at these grounds as well as the listed ones until the website is amended - latest from wanadoo is Wednesday!!! With regards to the other caches. West Brom clashes with some of the other midland teams and some people might prefer to go to the Wirral rather than Liverpool. We will keep moving the goal-posts!! The latest League Positions are: 1. Football Mad - Sandiway Searchers - 2 Goals Scored (Everton + Liverpool) 2. Chip Me In' - Slytherin Alex - 1 Goal Scored (Middlesborough) 3. Terriers On Tour - Andy Riley - 1 Goal Scored (Everton) 3. The Onion Bag - Milvus-Milvus - 1 Goal Scored (Everton also) 5. Neville in the Field' - 68 Guns - 0 Goals Scored - but near Portsmouth!! Hope that helps
  15. Hope that we are not too late we have Penny - with a cache named after her Penny's Walk in the Park for Nottinghamshire
  16. Still no news from Wanadoo - so here are the top 3 placings 1. Football Mad - Sandiway Searchers - 2 Goals Scored (Everton + Liverpool) 2. Terriers On Tour - Andy Riley - 1 Goal Scored (Everton) 3. The Onion Bag - Milvus-Milvus - 1 Goal Scored (Everton also) Hopefully the website will be up and running soon!!

  19. Hi If you visit the webpage Premier Travel Bug Race all of the rules are there under the heading "Rules" on the first page, all of the caches that need visiting are under the links at the top of the page, and now there is also a list at the bottom under "Alphabetical List of Goal Scoring Caches" We hope that this helps - if not let us know?!?!
  20. We have read and noted your comments - so we have added an alphabetical list of the scoring caches on to the bottom of the first page of the website. Hope that this helps.
