    It didn't come in my mailbox, but I had the best delivery of all today. Our son, Patrick James Turner was born this morning at 9:51! He and Mama are doing well. Now we finally have our 'plus3'!!!

     

    Time to get him his first geocoin :unsure:

    I would love to attend at GFC 2008, butI think it will be a bit too expencive...

    But I want to donate a Grenlandsmafiaen AE Copper Glitter to GCF 2008, so if the person in charge sets up the auction and sends me the address to the winner.

    After reading a thread from a deaf geocacher wanting to design a coin aimed at raising deaf awareness a week or so ago and then seeing the finished coin, I really had to get this one. It arrived today and wasabsolutely beautiful. My eldest daughter, who studied British Sign Language until her teacher moved away, will have it for putting in her first cache. It doesn't seem to have an activation code though, so will have to look into this.

    will the printing on the coins be protected?

    I recieved the february geocoinclub coin and the printing on that coin is on top of the epoxy and seems like it can easily be scratched off...

    We've done aggressive product testing of the printing and can assure you that you'd have to take a knife to it to get it off. We have had the sample guitars out of their plastic pouches kicking around our desks since they arrived. Chris rubbed two of them together to try to scratch the printing by using the edge of another coin and it's not budging. We've also demonstrated the strength of the printing to folks who've dropped by the office. The printing is over imitation hard enamel, not epoxy, so that could be the difference.

    I have not tried to scratch the printing off the geocoinclub coin so I don't know if it can be done - just looked like it was easy to scratch off...

    Well after another week of being at the hospital for more tests and missing almost 3 days of work I came home not really expecting anything in the mailbox. I got a huge surprise from Smort78. Not one, but TWO Grenlandsmafiaen geocoins including a copper glitter one. No one is going to be prying that one from my fingers any time soon!

    Thanks for the trade and the extra bonus. You brightened my week tremendously. I really needed something to make me smile!!!

    After ordering in November, paying in December.. and waiting through Jan and most of Feb....... :)

    What does it look like?

     

    After 60 trades in 2 weeks, I'm just wrapping up the rest of them this weekend, wow, never been so busy on trades alone, lol. (So anyone who is waiting on stuff to arrive, they're coming :) )

     

    I'll check out the coin this weekend. Me and you need to do a little flyfishing trip :D
