We are going to be visiting Newfoundland/Labrador later in the summer and have planned most of our trip around caching. Looking forward to it!!

I would highly recommend doing Amelia's Obstacle, GC13E0.
It was the only one that we did in Newfoundland last summer (there was only a couple at that time). The scenery is beautifull and the history lesson was well worth it. We intend to visit it again on our next trip.
There are quite a few now, some are in the Signal Hill area that would be a must visit for tourists in the St. John's area.

Go to Seek a Cache and do a search on Steam, a number of caches come up that may be what you are looking for.

Their service is great and since they are located in Alberta you don't pay any provincial sales tax.

It is just a coincidence that the last 4 items just happen to also work with my Vista too.

I too read the article in the Toronto Star. We had an old GPSr (Eagle AccuNav Sport) that we use on the boat for our fishing trips. Took that out with us for our first cache hunt but it was really bad in the thick cover. Didn't find it but we had such a hoot that we went out and bought a Vista. Came back the next weekend to try again and while walking and looking at the GPSr (like a newbie) and noticing that I was within a few feet of it, I actually kicked the cache.

Oh no, not "around" Trouts Creek!! That place had a little hole in the wall that served the best burgers we ever had. Guess we will have to make a detour next time.
