  1. If by 'lakes' you mean large bodies of water, then it has to be somewhere in the teens. If you're being sneaky, then my answer would be 'one'. As I recall, only one of the bodies of water in the Lake District has the word 'lake' in its name - Bassenthwaite Lake.
  2. Thanks for the 'ding' and sorry for the delay in posting the next question, which is: - Who is the only driver to be posthumously awarded the Formula One World Drivers' Championship, and in what year?
  3. That's the modern concert building/arts venue on Cardiff Bay, isn't it? I can't remember the name though...
  4. The 'ding!' for this one goes to hal-an-tow. It is the fear of Friday the 13th. The 'frigga' bit is for Frigga, the Norse goddess after whom Friday is named in English. Another name for the same phobia is 'triskaidekaphobia'.
  5. As the thread has stalled, I'll take the liberty of posing the next question, which is 'friggatriskaidekaphobia' is the fear of what?
  6. Might that be 'cos it's measured in nautical miles, as opposed to, say, statute miles?
  7. Boggin's Dad, seeing as my question has been adjudged to be too niche, I'll give you the 'ding!' for economics. The prize is awarded for "that American economist under the age of forty who is adjudged to have made a significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge". Over to you...
  8. It's a subject one can take a GCSE in. It's been mentioned a few times on a Radio 4 program I listen to
  9. There's a one-off traditional rated at 5/5 called Hippos Below. The Cache by kayak series near Chippenham, Wiltshire. Stumbled across this bookmark list which may be of some help.
  10. I had a cache in this sort of location declined as well. I recall the reason given was as it would be 'distracting to drivers'.
  11. It's awarded for a subject which is classified as a social science.
  12. I'm assuming this question is too tricky then... I'll leave it hanging and offer the following alternative: - The John Bates Clark Medal is awarded by whom for what?
  13. You'll probably not get much response on here. I'd try your local caching facebook group, post a note on the cache listing pages or Adopt-a-cache.
  14. There's also a way of getting OS maps as an option on the main map on GC.com but I can't seem to find the thread on it on the message boards for some reason.
  15. I find the web site "Where's the path?" very useful sometimes.
