  1. For all you people who says Nuvi's can't be used, I used a Nuvi 350 for over 600 finds before I got a Oregon 400t. Just select the pedestrian mode and off-road and you should be fine. and you can also load the Nuvi with Caches and you will get a alarm when you are riding down the road and a cache is near, then all you need to do is select the cache and go find it.
  2. Do you need to buy Mapsource as I have a Oregon 400t, all I have is map update 2008 for my Nuvi 350 and no mapsource software on CD. I would like to add some of the maps of the southeast on my Oregon 400t.
  3. I have an OR 400t now but have 600 finds with a Nuvi 350 and it still gets me closer than the 400t Great choice. I have a CO 400T. It is outstanding for geocaching. I also think the CO/OR are the best handhelds for car navigation. While they are not as nice as GPS designed for a car (don't talk and have a smaller screen) they do a really great job. I also really like the ability to use the same GPS to give me street navigation to the cache and direct me off road to the cache. The CO/OR both have profiles which allow you to easily make your GPS use the optium settings for the use it is currently being used for.
  4. This message is for anyone out there using or planning to purchase any of the Garmin Oregon GPS Series. There is a very irritating omission to the software that I have reported to Garmin and I need more complaints for them to take action. Seems the "Geocache Found" file has no way to delete found Geocaches on the handheld device. They can only be deleted buy connecting to your computer and deleting them individually by way of the cache numbers. very irritating! If anyone is having this problem and would like to join me in recommending Garmin update the software and add a "delete Geocache" icon to this file, please email me. Gene ghug2008@gforcecable.com
  5. We used our Nuvi 360 for over 550 finds and it still works freat for caching, we just got a Oregon 400t and my wife will still carry the 350 with her. The Nuvi 350 is also very good for paperless caching Yes, Nuvi 350 is correct.
