  1. I downloaded geobeagle but how do you use it??? Help??
  2. I am looking also, downloaded geobeagle but how do you use it? I'm clueless!!
  3. Hey! Anyone have any info about this area as we may have to relocate here and no NOTHING about Longview, Would love info about rental areas, good vs. worse, weather...jobs...quality of life...people.. ANYTHING!!! We are pretty nervous. Thanks all!
  4. This cache was pretty far out in the woods, so I doubt they aren't cachers. It just burns me because I put a lot of planning into it and specialty ordered my ATV so the size was just right and it wasn't all that cheap. I guess I'm just dissapointed as it was my first bug. Thanks for letting me vent! I guess I'll order a 3rd ATV and hope for the best.
  5. Ya that's what I think also. Just thought I'd get lucky.
  6. Anyone know them? They have my ATV TB and never logged in from a cache in Maine on July 12, 2007. Let me know if you may know them, Thanks, racatv
  7. I've found that things for dogs go over well as a lot people cache with their dogs....I've left dog bandanas, colapsable dog bowls and fetch frisbees.
  8. I also always put 1 of those anti-moisture things you get in packing materials in my caches, so if a little moisture gets in it helps. Sometimes even as tight as a container is, people cache on rainy, snowy days. You could also glue gun it to the base so no one thinks it's swag. Just an idea..
  9. yes, this is what I'll do. I know I wouldn"tcare about a log like this on vacation. I just want to keep this private, plus it is private property. I'm just curios if there will be other cacher there, so i'll just check the log in the cache, plus I'll actually be able to see them hunt and find it. Maybe I'll just have them turn and wave..lol.
  10. ya, that's what I thought. Just an idea
  11. I'd like to place a cache at a vacation location for only a couple weeks. It would only be acsessable by private members of this location. I was thinking of posting the waypoints on a message board in a way only a geocacher would know and go from there. It wouldn't have an official "GCXXX" number, but I was thinking they could e-mail and they could log one of mine. Has anyone ever done something like this, or any better ideas?
  12. I wanted to add a background picture to one of my hides web page but I don't get it..URL page? Can't I just upload it? If I figure it out, can I add one to one that's already been published? Thanks for the help
  13. Same thing happens to us, but our GPS Garmin 76csx shows the clue. I like that feature
  14. So should we when we find a really junky cache take the junk out? I always leave nice stuff. I also find that the junk even looks junkier and dirtier when it's been bashed around in the cache. I use a small plastic bag when an item fits in it to keep it cleaner. I'm new to this but I also find it disappointing to not find anything to trade.
  15. Go to page 4 of this forum "getting started" and see "What Order". I had all my questions answered there about the same thing.
  16. It's the blue one ...looks a little like clear plastic, I don't see a "C" on the description.
  17. A friend just got this as a gift. All it came with was the GPS. What software would you recomend for caching, fishing (lake) and driving. He is from the New England area. Thanks. Any other comments I could pass on would also be great.
  18. We disagree. The more you can get out of a GPS the better. More so just googles maps are MUCH better.
  19. The "sat" show a really good picture so I think that will help. It's under review as I type. Thanks for all the help everyone.
  20. Say though it's just a small dam in a public area, where tons of people fish. and there's a parking area for the public and it's on the other side of the parking lot than the dam...?
  21. Just wondering..when they say "don't place near dams or bridges" how many feet are they talking about. Say for example would 300' awy from a dam be okay?

    What order?

Activate is different than logging, right? I can still activate them to get them ready, right?

    What order?

Thank you all! It has helped me a lot. Now I'm more excited, but will have to wait just a little longer for the snow to melt. I'll activate my 2 new bugs tonight so they will be ready to "drop" into my 2 caches. Thanks again!
  24. What's too long? Would .8 miles in and .8 mile back be too long? I have a spot but that's the distance. I should note there are no caches near where I'm talking about. I think it may be too long..right? Nice spot at the end and an active atv trail in summer and fall.
