  1. Then I think you are in the wrong tread... GeoTags are geocoins trackable at geocaching.com, not a pathtag... Oh, even better. I don't have ANY of those. Are they roughly the same cost and quality as a pathtag? If they cost more, I may need to change my trading offer. See here --> Geotags . First 50 cost $235, including set up fee. Price drops after that. Original run was a bit cheaper than this.
  2. sssooocool - great photos! Thanks. You might want to edit out the tracking ID off the photo where it is being engraved... or are we free to discover it? Are you planning to do another run? I think I will definitely have to get a set!
  3. If there is a coin in a cache as a swag item (swap) then it is meant to be swapped with/for something similar - usually another coin, or something of similar value. Your best bet is to buy some geocoins - there are a lot of vendors out their selling geocoins via their own web stores. Or if you see a coin being sold through a thread in there then follow the instructions in that thread to buy some that way. Hope that helps. keewee
  4. As I understand it, not just anyone is allowed to mint (ie. produce the end product) geocoins. They must be an approved minter - approved by Groundspeak - the company behind geocaching.com Also, any trackable design must first be cleared by Groundspeak.
  5. Are you serious? If so contact me, I would sooo trade a coin for a hand knitted scarf any day!!! What HE said, yeah ditto!
  6. I'd like to make a suggestion for making GeoTag trading easier and cheaper. Break off in to groups of 11, with each group having a co-ordinator (someone puts their hand up and says 'pick me'). Then each person in a given group sends the group co-ordinator 10 of their GeoTags. Each person also PayPal's the group co-ordinator for postage and packaging and receives back a package with 10 GeoTags in it - one from each of the others in the group! Anyone keen? I live too far from the action to be a co-ordinator, but I'm in if some one else wants to be. There is no reason a group has to be 11 in size - could be small or larger.
  7. Wow - that is one nice looking design. Can wait to see photos of some sample coins!
  8. This is also what I do. From memory - you go through setting it up as though you were putting a cache at your dront door (or gate, etc) , with the correct coordinates etc, and then make sure you don't tick the "This cache is actitive" box cause I think it is at point that it goes to the reviewers. It then sits in your profile as an unpublished cache, which no one but you can see. You can then treat it as though it was a normal cache. HTH Craig
