Good shipping rate... the customer rep said that it is normally $9.99 and the tax still applies. I figure i could save the gas and spend the $2.99 on shipping. The return policy could be by mail or by taking it in to the store.

Silly question but I have to ask. Does this mean that the caches will automatically show up on the unit or do you still have to load it? I have read some posts on caches that people had said that it "popped" up on the screen as they were driving through so they stopped and grabbed it. Thanks in advance...

Be sure & let us know if a hard reset fixes your power problem. so it looks like this is the only MAJOR problem with the HCX? if so, do you think it would be okay to purchase the unit and just get the download for the patch when they fix the problem? i just don't want to buy a unit with a problem that will have me send the unit in to get fixed when i can just buy a fixed unit.

I bought a 60CSx last fall from offroute.com, since they had the best price. I specified a Post Office Box address, and they shipped it UPS to that address. It took 6 day from Reno to San Luis Obispo, CA (normal 2-3 day delivery), and then of course UPS failed delivery and returned it. They told me they would ship a second one and never did. They insisted I use a street address for UPS, but I live alone, am never home, and deliveries to work are not welcome. They do list USPS as a shipping option on their website. I ordered two RAM handlebar mounts at the same time and they were the wrong brackets for the unit, and the brackets would not fit on the bases. I did finally get everything corrected, but it took almost 3 weeks. Along the way I kept asking for email correspondence, since cellphone calls at work are a problem, and they always called my cellphone in response to email, even though every time I requested NOT to call, and please use email. I've never used them again. looks like tvnav then for the purchase all?

was this a problem with the vista cx model? this is the first time i ever heard of this problem about waas.

the vista hcx was considerably more on the same site... still not the best price. vista hcx only please.

I don't see that price from tiger gps. I see the $250 price for the Vista HCX. Could you send a link for that low pricing?

admo1872, you do know that the HCx takes microSD cards, right? So there is no need for built-in memory. I just bought a 2GB Sandisk microSD card for under $25 with free shipping. FYI. could you post a link please.

What is the price delta between them? The electronic compass is nice to have. I think you should take a look at some Garmin Dealer websites rather than have forum members do it for you... wow Skeets_De... blindsided... i thought the forums here were a resource to ask whatever questions we might have in reguards to anything about geocaching or in this case... gps units and software. sorry to sound harsh but... my goodness.

What's odd about that? Garmin's website also prices the Vista (and Legend) CX and HCX the same. They appear to be pricing the "H" models the same as their predecessor. I hope that remains true. www.offroute.com says the HCX models will be replacing the CX line and that explains the same pricing. Any day now? Keep the pricing coming all...

Yes, I am aware of the other thread about the prices. I have also seen other prices on other threads as well. This just makes it easier to locate a good deal versus reading all of the posts like mine right now... lol. Keep the best prices coming all.

bump... too good not to watch. anybody know if garmin fixed the rubber separation problem on the casing yet? i was told that the rubber grip around the casing is only held on by two way tape and can come apart.
