I am glad to see that the back is being addressed and am excited to see what the new coin back looks like. Nothing wrong with the old design though, just get a more polished appearance I need more GeoTags but will wait to see what shakes out of this before I decide to order.

I agree with those who say the term "Artist Edition" has been stretched beyond recognition. IMHO what is passing for AE's are nothing more than XLE. Now for those that take issue with this what is wrong with XLE? Why does it have to be called a AE? Answer = Marketing.

The problem is that I did do more then 40 caches in two weeks and I don't know in which cache I this found, I checked the caches which I found and there was no coin left, so that's the problem Yet you only have 1 cache logged. I woudl suggest that maybe you start logging your cache finds and it woud be easier to keep track of things.

I didn't say I didn't like the geotag coins. I think they are ok. I said that I was disappointed with the plating finish and felt it was probably rushed. I think all the stamped design sides look great. Only thing keeping me from doing a happy dance is that I thought the plating finish would have a more even, polished mirror like appearance. Look at the backside of a pathtag as an example of what I mean by a smooth mirror like finish. If this was rated on a 5 star scale with 5 being fantastic, I would give the designed side a 5 and the plating finish a 3.5 and Mikes efforts a 5 . . . I am not trying to start a problem here just voicing my honest opinion is all hoping maybe the feedback will help this project improve on itself.

First I wanna say I think all the designs are great but I am a bit disappointed with the finish. The stamped side is fine because it is covered in color but the back side I expected to be much smoother looking than it is. The finish looks uneven, mottled, and hurried by the mint IMHO. Had I gotten a sample BEFORE minting rather than with the order and saw this I doubt I would have proceeded and probably would have looked at other options. Again I think the design side looks great on all the coins but I hope the mints works on improving the finish so it looks smoother. Ok now its time to burn me down . . . .

Get a custom rubber stamp made and some wooden nickels.

Sounds like it would make for a better local project to me.

Guessing what your pet did? I don't mean to be harsh but just how many countless number of things could that possibly be anyway? And you want someone to guess it, come on.

Would be interested to know if it is empty in 2009 because someone raided it for the coins but good luck anyway.

If you were one of the first ones to order and mike made the agreement to keep the original prices then we will honor that agreement. Your die is kept on hand for 3 years so you can re order anytime from 3 years from the date your die was created. What I don't know is what the original agreement was. Can someone post or pm me the answer on the cost of reorders if in original group?

When this happens to me and I do not have an "equally" valued item to trade, I make sure to take something with me on the next trip out and drop it in a cache that I find. Sometimes I drop by the same cache, and sometimes I just drop it in a different cache. Exactly, sorry I didn't make myself clearer.

I am slow so if i want to reorder in 6 months what will the cost be? $2.50 per coin?
