  1. A few more nominations; I will try to be less loquacious - Castleman: Few people are as genuinely generous as yourself. You're a class act and all around good egg who made my grandkids very happy with a coin of their own to follow. Atwell Family: I think it is in Mike's nature to be always willing to lend a hand and answer questions. Mike has been personally helpful by answering questions I had during my first days caching. ALL the Mystery Coin Givers: What more needs to be said. Next to the definition of selflessness are references to you folks, whoever you may be. Thanks for bringing sunshine and smiles to the geocaching community. The tales are great to read, which in and of itself makes me smile. Thank you. Dorkfish: For all the selfless work you put in on charity auctions in the past as well as other things. You are a great example for others to follow Karma. Keep up the good work woman but don't kill yourself doing it. PGHlooking: Though we don't see eye to eye politically on many things I can rise above it just enough to give credit where credit is due. I do admire your charity efforts, good job, it shows some style. Thanks. Now back to your regularly scheduled program Arthur & Trillian: No one can ever accuse you of being boring Mike. You make me shutter sometimes but mostly you make me laugh. Nothing beats live entertainment. What I enjoy about you is that you say what you mean and you mean what you say. Thanks for keeping it real. FSM: Again, we haven't seen eye to eye at times but I appreciate the largely thankless job you do as moderator. Someone has to do it and I am glad it isn't me. Thanks for giving your time and sanity. That was exhausting I need a nap now, more to come . . .
  2. 007BigD is next on the list. What can I say? Dave you are truely a remarkable guy. I remember meeting you in the forums many months ago when I was trying to survive a night of sleeplessness as I suffered from the toothache of all toothaches. You had that silly little cointest where I was the only contestant remember? lol We kind of hit it off that night and have talked many times since. You will never know how much that hour or so of banter that night meant to me. It distracted me from the pain I felt that only gets worse in the stillness and quiet of the night. I am sure many if not all know what I mean. Thanks Dave and may many good things come to you, sweetpea, and the bun, in your current transition. You mean alot to me buddy.
  3. Another shout out goes to the Cach-U-Nuts who I had the pleasure of getting acquainted with early in my caching days. What a generous and selfless couple of people. I have watched them contribute to the community with style and class in so many ways. They have brought joy and smiles to many cachers along the way. Great job! Thank you, you are appreciated.
  4. Well thought out contest Karma . . . ok lets get this thang started . . . A HUGE shout out and nomination goes to rivercity. What a terrific human being and inspiration. There are numerous reasons why she is deserving but one stands out in my mind. I love the POW MIA symbol and have several items that have that symbol on it, i.e. the window mural in the back window of my truck, key chain, etc. The symbol touches me physically and emotionally and gives me chills in the same way that taps does everytime I hear it. Anyway, ever since I laid eyes on the POW MIA geocoin it has been a dream coin of mine to obtain. One day I opened the mail and there was a padded envelope from rivercity and out came a POW MIA coin. Words alone cannot express the emotions I felt rush over me in that instant. I asked RC to make the first entry on this coin and what she logged was so poignant that I had to use it as the coins mission statement: ". . . never forget our courageous men and women who are POW/MIA, and may this geocoin be a reminder to all who see it to always keep the military in our thoughts and prayers." ~rivercity Marilyn, I just want you to know that regardless of the outcome you ARE a winner in my eyes! Thank you.
  5. WTG on the GCF VG. Glad to see Wisconsin represented on the GCF finders list.
  6. Congratz to all the latest lucky finders of the GCF coin.
  7. This is a difficult task to not offend anyone. Many of you mean ALOT to me and you may or may not know who you are. To stay more or less neutral I will nominate my wife and best friend Sally the _AY __LLS of da team three times. Through the good times and the bad she puts up with me, and to borrow a line from Jack Nicholson - she make me want to become a better man - even after 20 great years. I love you more each day .
  8. WTG PF, Congratz on the find. I am so envious
  9. My question is this... By minting new coins that are NOT the Regular Edition, aren't the RE's now LE's? If they were truly Regular, then why not remint them??? If they aren't regular then stop calling them that, its very misleading. According to your own thread about coin labels - LE coins are made in a limited run, which precisely describes your first run of FSM coins. Since that is about a specific coin, maybe you should ask it in the thread where it came from. You will stand a better chance of getting the answer you want there then in this thread which is about general reminting. I don't see Woletrap cutting down the FSM coin or saying anything disparraging about the FSM at all. Even if he was ranking on the FSM I am pretty confident that FSM is MORE than capable of taking care of himself in the matter and does not require your assistance in moderating the ttread PGH. Back to the topic at hand. As with many things in life it is at times easier to explain something or ask a question by using an example. I think it is pretty clear to the average reader of this thread that Woletrap is simply holding the FSM coin out as nothing more than an example of remints in general and is asking if the original RE becomes the new LE with a remint. Considering this thread is about reminting I tbelieve it is on topic. In an attempt to answer Woletraps question IMHO I would say that the unintended consequences of a remint would dictate that indeed the original RE becomes the new LE and the reminted coin then becomes the new RE particularly if the run is larger then the orginal run. It is precisely the unintended consequence of reminting that has many people in a lather about remints which is understandable.
  10. Congratz to all the finders. Holy mackeral that fairy is busy
  11. When one door closes another is sure to open, at least thats what they say anyway. You, Sweetpea, and the lil bun are in my thoughts and prayers that a door to greater opportunity will be openning soon. You are a great guy Dave and you have mu admiration.
  12. Congratulations and a big WOOOT! for all the latest finders. WTG
  13. And if you knew who it was, what do you plan on doing?
  14. I have one of my GeoTags on my key ring (figure there is always a chance to get keys back again if lost) so yea I always have a coin with me. I almost always have another coin with me as well to show others, usually non-cachers. It might be trackable or untrackable. Lackey, GSA, Binary, Rivercity, Rubicon Brothers, lately it is the POW/MIA, and several other coins have seen time in my pocket.
  15. One method . . . . TB150WC

  19. Congratz AG and the other GeoCoin Fairy finders.
  20. As much as I would like to own this coin I have to draw the line somewhere. This cointest is out of control and ill conceived IMHO and is abusive on the system so I am bowing out. It is this type of cointest that will result in a ban of forum cointests down the road. I don't mean to be a stick in the mud or to create trouble but someone has to make the first step. Good luck and congratz to whom ever wins.
