No, I think I met that guy once. He introduced himself as "ACME Geocachers". Looking at his profile, he hasn't been around lately - but he was really active in the forums. Look fast, all those posts will probably get deleted. I think it must be "srehcacoeG EMCA" Congrats Floop... Some of the bills are still running around.... Not a problem, As a Jeep Owner (99 Cherokee Sport, 00 TJ, 84 CJ7 ) I was thrilled to see the article. Nice job in representing both Jeep owners, and Geocachers. I've been showing the article at work to all the cachers here.

Use Of Sd Memory Cards On A Meridian
EMTJeepers replied to lonesomedave's topic in GPS technology and devices
The newest version on mapsend topo, allows you to put in multiple maps. I also was able to modify the "ini" parameter to allow for larger SD card(128meg is the max I have tried. -
I was planning on doing that, but I accidently left my camera behind when I went out yesterday, so I had to settle for Hartclimb's sucky Christmas Tree Ornament cache. Hey Bri, let me know, I'll meet you hear at Pru and bring my wife's yellow Jeep... Congrats on 200! Glad I was part of atleast one of those finds......

quote:Originally posted by gilbertf:We got a company in France that installs GPS in cars with an emitter. When the car is stolen, it tracks its location and it's emitted. As soon the police is warned, they can go out and track the stolen car using an helicopter and ground units. Several cars have been found the very same day they have been stolen and people are quite happy about it. They want to spread this to other countries of Europe because thieves try to stale cars and make them leave the country as fast as possible to avoid being tracked ; since Europe allows free movement of people around, it works. No idea if that GPS that women used can be used as proof against her husband. In France, you need to have the proof certified by a "notaire" (usually it takes the form of following the person and taking a picture of that person with another men/women under the presence of the notaire to have it become a proof you can show to a court. In France, video or audio recordings are not considered a proof in front of a court, but presence of a notaire/huisser can make it a "commencement de preuve" which has not the same value as a real proof (like a testimony). Yea! It's called LOJACK and it's been in the U.S.A. for years. http://www.lojack.com/
