Yeah they do log the hell out of that forest I didn't think of that but they have set parts of the forest that will never be logged and I can get with the rangers and see where they will be logging I had anouther idea to use nail and washer and get a hole bunch and put 5 or so differnt coloers on each washer. And put reflectors everywhere on like 100 trees and you have to pick out the right set to fallow to find the cache And I won't tell them anything about that think that will be fun and hard

Don't give them any thing !!! Put if the cache is 30 yards away from the cords ( I'm guessing your going under ground maybe pipe or cave) As long as you lead them to where they can use there gps anymore and it's not like a big big cave or something I don't see anything wrong with it

What's wrong with maglights ???

I want to use nails and washers for this night cache and glue the tape to the washer. I want it to last as long as it can. I don't want the tape falling off or a small tack rusting out ever . The nail won't hurt the tree at all !!!!! But my chain saw dose a lil !!! I just don't know to nail the washer all the way down to the tree , I think that will be better for viewing . Or to leave a lil room from the tree and washer, for the tree to grow. Or if I do nail them down come by evert 5 years or so and pull them out a lil ???? I'm thinking long tearm and want this to be here for a good 25 years , a tack won't do that ! I just need to get some good 3M tape and I will be good to go . Heres what I think it will cost me Washers(100) 10$ Nails (2lbs) 5$ Super glue (12 tubes) 4$ Reflector tape ??? Not sure yet still looking Time (35years) priceless

Yeah I should just cut them in squares and I don't know what size washer I was looking at might of been 1 in and 3m tape comes in all kinds of sizes And I think that glueing them too will just make them last longer

Well what would they do ??? I'm a veteran and not like having anything on that day will do anything you going to do what you want to do anyway What whould they do what did they do on 10-10-10 And isn't the world going to end before 12-12-12???

So Cachers take caches that are "gay" not there kinda caches not saying yours is haven't looked at it could be a cacher that dosent like you or something but there's nothing you can do about it that's the sad thing

Yeah I will have to look at another store I'm going to glue the tape to the nail or washer don't know what I'm going to use yet still looking at the cost if I just use the nail heads it will be cheeper then the really good tacks I can get a box of 100 washers for 10$ and tape from 10 to 20 still looking for that looks like I will have to get the tape online and nails are cheep and I don't think tacks will last that long maybe 2 or 3 years want something that will last a good 5 years before I have to do anything to the tacks or nails I'm looking to make like 200-400 reflectors going to be a good long night cache If anyone has any ideas on how I can make this cache better/ harder/ more fun / or add a puzzle to it let me know

I found some shapes like stars and harts I was thinking about getting washers Like maybe 1 in in size or just Useing the the size of the nail head Went to walmart they didn't have any round big hole bunchs

I want to use nails because I don't want the tacks to rust out of the trees I have seen that happen before I want this cache to last more the a few years going to use nails and 3M tape I just need to find a hole punch the same size as the nail heads and one know where I can find something like that ?

i dont sign most log books i only sign if its a good cache and i never sign nano or micos or if the log book is wet i wish there was a way i could just delete some cache so i would never see them ones that i have found but dont really want to log

i think i will put the waypoints to where they need to go to get out of the woods in the cache if they can find it before morning

Yeah seems like every one just wants to get a .50¢ nano and put it on a gaurd rail I wish it wasn't like that! That is not what geocaching was based on or ment to be but that mostly what it has become That's why I don't have that meny finds

Whould it be wrong to just give a list of what people might need for the cache ?? Like Water for a day in the woods Be 25 ft tall ( or have wings) Flashlight (I would bring 2 if I was you) Good hiking shoes/boots Thick pants Food (never know How long you will be in the woods ). Cell phone ( be safe tell someone your trying to find this ). Swim ware if it's warm. Good topo map. Have maybe a few free days. Make a waypoint of where you parked or camped. Be really good with maps and waypoints and lines ( might be an app for that). You will need all that and maybe a lil more!!!! Make sure you have / and could do that and more!!! There are 8 stages. There is free camp site in the forest might plan on that . Plan good to try this one it will take sometime to do took me years to plan and might take years to find take pics and don't give anything away ******************************************************************** would it be wrong if that was all I said about my cache ???? Would you try a cache like that ?? What would you think if that's all you had To go on??

I'm trying to make a hard cache right now and I will be happy if it takes a good wile for someone to find it It will take more then 3 days to find it if you can find all of the stages right away I'm thinking g people will group up and try to find it making it a lil eazy but it's still going to take a wile to find it's taking me for ever to plan it all out
