    Geo Coins

Hey guys, There is a new game called Veni, Vidi, Vici (link removed by moderator) It's the perfect game for one of those beautiful coins that are in the bottom drawer that you don't want to lose. You also have a say in the challenges for the game because you have to come up with a challenge for ALL coins around the world before you are approved to join - so it will be a lot of fun. The game was my idea because I have lost TB's & coins that I have released into the wild. It's frustrating when you know exactly who has a TB or coin, but they no longer cache and have changed their email address so you can't ask them. Do have a look at the game, you would be most welcome to join in.
  2. Hi Everyone, This is just to issue an invitation to join Veni, Vidi, Vici It's a coin game where you don't have to leave your coin anywhere to give it to another person, so it's perfect for that great coin that you don't want to part with. The game is located at (Removed by moderator). Everyone welcome - the more the merrier.
  3. When the affliction first hit me and I ordered my first lot of coins, I looked at them & put them nicely in an album. BUT on looking back I have a Masonic AC coin that is missing it's tracking number. Do I just have a piece of junk or a collectible item (er, non-coin) - is it a "must have" for collectors, is it swapable or do I just contact the retailer to replace it. Advice from other poor afflicted individuals with the collecting disease will be more than welcome.
  4. Just clarifying a query from a friend. ANY coin/TB - regardless of it's previous history is eligible to join the game. But only logs dated after the 1st of February, within Australia, are claimable for the challenges. Whatever THEY are
  5. Hello everyone, welcome to my bit of nonsense. Thanks to forthferalz for initiating a great idea to make available to overseas people coins that are already here and need to be turned into cash. This game is being played in Australia because it was intended initially as a challenge among friends with some very Oz challenges but I was directed by a friend to think bigger - hence the new location at cachinggames.com. At the completion of the game I'm sure we can organise to re-direct your coins by replacing their objective tags to one with your nearest caches and a note for their return to their owners. At the end of the game, just contact me via GC & I'll do my best. Do keep a track of their journeys around Australia as they will be going from ocean to hills to desert, crossing state lines, being photographed in interesting places and generally doing what coins & bugs do best - the absolute opposite of what we want them to. Once again, may the cache be with you.
  6. It's actually nicer thinking your TB/coin is in that big drip tray in the world than knowing exactly which cacher has it and isn't responding to a nice request to re-cache it. We can then live in the hope that it will reappear out of the void in months/years to come and surprise us by being in another part of the world. Thank you for putting out a TB/coin cache though and I look forward to picking up your TB's/coin in Oz and moving them along for you. This is after all a game (what blasphemy), don't take it too seriously.
  7. Sorry, I totally ignore the 1 for 1 swap [:I] - I travel quite a bit and often take TB's/coins on my travels & photograph them along the way for their owners. I have been known to drop 10 into a cache on my furthest point of travel and to pick up as many as I feel like when returning (over 1,000miles/800km) home. I do get annoyed when they are placed into a Puzzle cache that is visited once every 6 months but that is the way of the little beasties. I also make a point of putting them into a new cache because they are the ones that are visited most within a 4 week period. We have to accept that all cachers aren't honest and take a liking to one and that some of us are absent minded and forget to log them . But accept that some people in their travels will pick up & drop off on the move, so to speak, without having access to the internet to log the moves, forgetting to take a note of their numbers for future logging. You have given TB/coin lovers the opportunity to place them into a special holding pen for them, now relax and let their fates take their course.
  8. I'm not allowed to put this as a mystery or event , so here it is for your information. The full details are on The Great Ozi TB Race's own website and everyone is welcome to join in. http://www.freewebs.com/ozitbrace Let me know directly if you are intending to join in. Regards to all - May the cache be with you .
  9. Get a load of me, I have paid up and now have an official "trunksnsuch" picture which explains my theme. Welcome to Dorsetgal & GeoDog who have joined the race (I had a couple of TB's to spare and couldn't resist). At the moment we only have 2 TB's travelling (and 2 more on Thursday) - where are the rest? There should now be 8 TB's travelling !!! Ya gotta be in it to win it .... so do ya drop off's guys. I will do an official "award" of some sort for the winner at the UK end (at this rate, I've got about 10 years in which to do it). Once again, I'm off camping & caching for a few days (must be summer over here) over the other side of my State so will reply to any mail next Tues. Regards to all - Trunksnsuch
  10. Hi Everyone, Like HazelS I like my TB's to have a theme and I have picked up Rocky (he was nearly at the airport - which was a long way from country Victoria). Will give him another venture to go on & will find another attachment for Phillimore Clan. Rocky now wants to visit all his relatives worldwide, eg. Rocky Mountains, Stonehenge, Ayres Rock, etc. I have just got back from a week of camping (yeah, another week of camping) and caching and don't know where Midas, HiHo or Black Knight are at the moment but will catch up with them in the next few days. Hazel & Phillimore Clan, let me know when your TB's start travelling so we can all follow their travels. Regards, Trunksnsuch
  11. Hello currykev - well the TB's can go whichever way they want to. I picked up 2 TB's the other day, took them about 600km's and then brought them home again. Didn't have time to drop them off so I'll drop them off locally. These things have a mind of their own and the world is their oyster. Us humans are just here to help them along. Keep in touch...Trunksnsuch
  12. Hi Guys, HiHo & Midas have been picked up and are on their way. Black Knight & Rocky have left to travel. What is happening with the other two? Are they ready yet?
  13. HiHo & Rocky have left the building. Midas will leave tomorrow. Went caching and found a local lovely natural bush park I didn't know about - didn't find the cache, but I'll go back again soon. I'm off camping for just over a week and plan to pick up a couple of bugs and take them to the other end of my State, so if you don't hear from me - in the immortal words "I'll Be Back".
  14. Midas - TB152PK HiHo - TB15541 - sorry 'bout that Rocky - TB14Q7P Will put information on a business card, laminate and release tomorrow.
  15. Hi again, guys, we are now officially started. Phillimore Clan in Oxford, HazelS in Wirral and Klever Boys in Peterborough. The challenge is to send your TBs to Morwell, Victoria, Australia VIA India and USA and collect a souvenier from both countries on the way to verify they have been there. My TBs are HiHo to Wirral, Midas to Peterborough and Rocky will go to Oxford. Post your references to their details when released. Happy travels and may the winner win .
  16. Hi Guys, Klever Boys is now in, sorry Dorsetgal & GeoDog (but stay tuned in case I don't hear back from Phillimore Clan for their suburb). To the three that are in, what about giving the bugs a location to go via say India & the USA & pick up mementos to say they have been there? And are your bugs ready to go, do we want to release them all on the same day?
  17. Hi HazelS, you're on too - one more to go... My home base is Morwell, Victoria, Australia. Will put this TB in a different place to PhillimoreClan's one.
  18. Hi Phillimore Clan, you're on. Give me your City and I'll put an attachment to a TB to try to go there. Anyone else interested?
  19. Anyone interested in a race from my door to yours and visa versa. I have 3 TBs that would like a reason for living. TBs presently not yet registered but are in Southern Australia.
