Make sure you download from this link. You may have downloaded the Canadian Topos from here and that's why you are only seeing state and county boundaries.
I have Topo v3.02 and City Navigator v8.
Thanks for the responses! So my best bet is buying the new 2009 version of City Navigator. I've read that the NT version was giving the HC units some trouble. Should I stick with non-NT? Also, how much of an improvement is Topo 2008?
I have copies of Mapsource Topo and City Navigator I installed on my Venture Cx a year ago. Unfortunately, I lost my GPS on the trail. If a buy a Legend HCx, can I use any of the old software on it?
Thanks for the quick replies.
I think I am going to buy city navigator first since I won't be doing much hiking until summertime. But when that time comes, I will purchase TOPO.
Should I get a 1GB or 2GB memory card?
I am going to splurge and get a venture cx in a couple of days. I have a couple of questions what kind of map software to get though.
1) Will I be able to geocache right away with the basemap?
2) I will only have enough money right now to buy one map package. Should I get TOPO or City Navigator?
I am new to geocaching and GPS. I need some expert opinions on what unit is the best bang for my buck. I am currently looking at Garmin Verture Cx and eTrex Vista as well as the Magellan Explorist 210. Which should I spring for?
