  1. How far is this cache from the center? Is it possible that it is now outside the search radius with 1000 caches closer to GC1RK45?
  2. Do you have the PQ set to show only active caches? If so, that might explain this behavior.
  3. Allanon - I can help you with that one, and I'll check on others there as well. If you have specific requests or a log you want put in, let me know. WeightMan - GS's policy is to list only one event as the Mega when there is a cluster of related events. So GW will be the only event with that designation, regardless of attendees. The Meet 'n Greet and Lost & Found events will likely have 500+ attendees, but they will not get a Mega icon (the GS event will actually get a new icon, so we hear). This would mirror what happened last year with the Meet 'n Greet, etc., at GW7. Either way, the caches in that area will get a large number of hits that weekend.
  4. Don't forget that there will be a mega event (although it isn't listed that way yet) in Fremont on July 4. That area of Seattle will probably see lots of cachers as well as the ones listed.
  5. Or it could be 4 because the letter H is on the 4 key on the phone.
  6. Since you are correcting grammar, is grammary correct? Best be careful or the OT grammar police will be out after you.
  7. I have driven that several times since I started geocaching. I have bookmarked several caches along I-5 that I enjoyed doing. This bookmark does go a bit south of Redding, but should serve you well. I do have another one for 101 along the Oregon and California coasts, if you want to head that way as well.
  8. Not in Astoria, but across the river is Room With A View and what a view from that room. Definitely worth the side trip.
  9. As a matter of fact we're staying in Renton at the Holiday Inn so anything within 5-10 miles would be great. Added the Crab Pot and Pike Place Market to our list. Looks like Jimmy Mac's is real close to where we'll be staying, marked that and Izzy's as possibilities. Will keep an eye out for McMenamins locations and added Voodoo Doughnuts as a stop in Portland. Jimmy Mac's is walking distance from the Holiday Inn. Good steaks there as well as the rolls. Expect to throw your peanut shells on the floor. Grab some from the barrel on your way in. I live about 4 miles north of there. Shoot me an email (or PM) when you get in, maybe I can show you around a bit. Ditto. (but for me it's two miles and south...) I'll 'escort' you to a couple of local night caches if you'd like. Cool. There might be a couple of those I haven't done and would love to.

  11. Great! More attention and publicity that this cache maggot loves. Keep your mouth shut and your caches maintained and she will get tired and go find something else to do. Amen. This has happened many times before and soon after people stop discussing it, they give up because they are not getting the publicity they crave.
  12. In looking at the itinerary, you will not dock at Sitka, Homer or Kodiak. In those ports your ship will anchor in the bay and you will be transported to shore via a small boat.
  13. Since the John Wayne Pioneer Trail is the one at Snoqualmie, the chances are good that The Tunnel Of Light will reopen. Good news, indeed. Too bad mid-summer is probably after July 4.
  14. If I count the days correctly, you are leaving on July 2, the date of this event. Bummer. Be prepared for anything weather wise from rain and 40 degrees to sunshine and 80 degrees. On the trail, the right trail is obvious after you cross the bridge over the creek. If you think you are looking at an old railroad bed and you have not crossed the bridge, it isn't. Otherwise, no problem. Apparently WM you need to brush up on your math skill, maybe you've been retired too long. According to your calculation keithlemons would be leaving 26 days before he gets here. Or my reading skills. I actually read that as June 28. Oh well, I hope the rest of that was accurate. Now that I think of it, the weather information is not accurate. Be prepared for anything from sunshine and up to 90 or cloudy and maybe 65 or anything in between. Rain is possible, but not likely.

  17. I seem to recall that I got an email to every post of yours in the Release Notes thread. Maybe I had just subscribed to that thread, but I didn't get one for the last release.
  18. Some time ago I subscribed to the Geocaching Announcements Forum so that I would get an email whenever a new topic was posted. Starting with the April 29 announcement, I am no longer receiving those. I tried to subscribe again to see if I was dropped somehow and that was errored out. I noticed it again today with the response to the survey post. I should have received an email on that and didn't.
  19. I just did a quick check on several of my PQs that ask for 1000 caches. It does not happen on every one, but does appear to return the same extra cache when I try it again. All but one of the extra caches were one, two or three digit caches. I did get on four digit cache. On one of the PQs I picked up GCF. These caches were all over the world. You are more than welcome to spoof my account and take a look at those PQs. All are listed with similar names. Edit to note that this is indeed preview on the map.
  20. In my opinion this is exactly the wrong thing to do. To defeat this person, ignore her. The longer this thread runs, the more this person is fed what they want.
  21. Odd.. You mean now, they're not being sent via Email? Only kept online for download? Only those with more than 500 caches in them (or maybe more than 500 requested).
  22. One of the things we have found out about people like this is the crave the attention threads like this promote. One of the best things we can do is not discuss it in the forums.
  23. It is payable in hamsters, if you wish. You know that it's supposed to be chocolate, WeightMan! *drool* Well, it was Keystone that posted, so I figured he preferred payment in hamsters. I know most reviewers would rather have the chocolate. Well there is the one that prefers milk bones too, but he hasn't posted in this topic.
